My ATTACK Plan
I intend to focus on the fact of how the courtyards outside the dorms is used to bring people together and how it was designed.
Was it designed like this? Or were they trying to fit in as many dorms together as they could, and that's the way it ended up?
Some of the awesome flowers in the Matthew's Garden on campus. No matter what, we have to keep this oasis in the concrete desert.
My Initial impressions of Lexington
For this trip, most of my impressions of Lexington, were focused on coming to UK.
However, I also enjoy looking at all of the horse farms on the way here. Since I live north of Lexington, I drive past the Kentucky Horse Park, which is something I will usually try to visit whenever I'm in Lexington.
Coming into to the main part of downtown, I love how everything is so focused on 'bleeding blue'. From restaurants to blue ambulances, most everything in Lexington, supports the University of Kentucky. Whether it is a simple sign in a window, or shops that take plus accounts. I am so happy to be joining the Big Blue FAMILY!
A Tidbit About ME
My name is Karalie Andrews, and I am from Burlington, Kentucky. I live about 15 minutes from downtown Cincinnati, close to the CVG airport.
I love to swim and I was on my high school swim team for all four years of high school.
I also ride horses and was on both the Hunt Seat and Saddleseat Equestrian teams at school. I started riding on the saddleseat team in 7th grade and I won the IEA JV saddleseat National Championship in 2011. Then, I decided to switch to hunt seat to learn how to jump.
In the fall, I will be majoring in Equine Science and Management with a minor in Animal Science. After I graduate, I want to attend Veterinary School at Auburn University, and serve in the U.S. Army.
That’s a little about me! I’m really looking forward to the rest of this program!
