'KINGS REFLECT ' 11•18•20

I haven't done anything in awhile since having to replace my old computer. Getting parts had taken over 4 months and having to relearn a program has left me at a weird place in my art but I am happy to say this piece has made me quite happy. This is a companion to my 'Crown of Gravity'

I like to focus on things I feel I want to improve and often I choose a lot of the same subject to curate different developments and practice with shading and brushes that I like to work more with.

As things become chaos my mind had become so conflicted and busied. It felt really nice to finish this one. I will update more being this is what really makes me joyed in what little spare time I have.

My newest piece is on a creature more closely resembling a bat than a vampire. These creatures have long limbs and hands and feet that look like they were dipped in inks. I think I might make more of a background story on him but for now I will hold on seeing as it is almost 3 am...

‘Scarlot Dream ’ by KarasuArt

In celebration of the new year, I finished a new piece. / As some of you know Achan is not doing great but is getting better and we only hope he gets better. As someone whole has grown up with this band it does make me quite upset to receive this news. In his last post he seemed so happy he received so many beautiful letters that he started to sound like he was crying. For a man that has lost so much, he is loved very much. We all love you Atsushi get all the rest you need and take care of yourself. / About this piece: / I have deaths flower in the photo but as being one of Atsushi’s favorites it added a beautiful element. I have seen these growing in Yokohama on the side of a bridge. I believe if I am correct that the story of the Lycoris flower is that this Lillie grows whenever a body dies a Lilly will grow. But I drew him as a beautiful immortal being covered in falling snow. My goal was darkly beautiful and with a pinch of seduction…deathly seductive…hehehe…. / I had been working on this since October and intended on using it as a Halloween feature but decided against it. • Buy this artwork on apparel, stickers, phone cases, and more.

"Moon Sayonara Hoshi" My quick little drawing I did over night and finished before work. I dont usually draw cutie things but I decided to have a go at it...this is pretty much my test go at something I have in mind for the next drawing. ‘Crowned of Gravity’ by KarasuArt

I had fallen in love with Nakaba Kowzu’s story on Gravity. One part speaks about a lonely King who sends his only three daughters out into the cosmos with each a star in hopes to save humanity and build what was lost. / Nakaba talks about how he wanted Atsushi Sakurai to be the face of this story and how he fit the look of what he wanted his king to look like. / To me what would the king look like? He must have been so lonely in the vast cosmos beyond. I have Finally finished this beauty 😺 ...now that I am content with this piece I can now post him. Thanks to my beloved for pushing me to work harder and believing I can do better. As for inspiration I was captivated by the story of Nakaba Kowzu's GRAVITY about a lonely King sends out his only three daughters; with a star in order to secure a future for the hope for humanity. What happens to their lonley father and king? Nakaba decribed Sakurai as a fitting look for the lonley king. I just had to draw something from this. What a captivating story one should read.

“I Love You to the Meawoon and Back” A simple drawing I drew in mind of my Great-grandmother. She’d always tells me, “I Love you to the moon and back, Pumpkin…” And for my love for cats and her always heartwarming words this piece is dedicated to her. On a note I have been going crazy with galactic starry themes for some reason. ^_^ 🌌

There is always something that reminded me of Atsushi like a cat. I am unsure what it actully is that reminds me of this but I felt I needed to draw him like this. As a cat person myself I this this is one of my favorite pieces yet. I have more to come and I am always developing ideas over and over in my brain. I become more and more excited for a new idea that pops into my head. This piece was for a friend and she had told me she has never received a hand made gift before and I was instantly put to work on something for her. I am happy to make about her friend smile. It makes all my work worth it in the long run when I can smile and say I am do I g this for pure enjoyment.

‘Sakurai Sakura Yuki’ Another successful piece delivered from my overflowing mind of ideas. I like to be able to create senses to the eyes. Atsushi’s hair and fur around his neck look actually soft and this makes me so pleased. I am getting quite a bit of requests for more Sakurai works and all the more this makes me happy as a self tought artist.

When working on this piece I had a lot of fun with the small details. Atsushi has very unique eyes and I feel very satisfied with this piece.

I have been working on this piece for quite sometime and now it is safe to say I am satisfied with completing this. I wanted this to be perfect for my best friend. And she finally received it so I can post it now. As you all know I am a huge admirer of the Japanese Band Buck-Tick and if you don't know them please check them out. Anyway this piece is a bit provocative but in the same fine art is accepted so I feel this is mild. Last year Atsushi Sakurai dawned a beautiful set of garments that sent me into a coma of ideas. So here is my mind on a plate. Please enjoy~
