Marriage Ceremony Anniversary Imam Ali Hadrat Fatima Zahra (peace be upon them)

From this marriage Imam Ali (A.S.) and Bibi Fatimah (A.S.) were blessed with two sons, Imam Hasan (A.S.) and Imam Husain (A.S.), and two daughters, Bibi Zainab (A.S.) and Bibi Umme Kulthum (A.S.)

Bibi Fatimah (S.A.), the best of all women in the universe, the only daughter of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) was married to Imam Ali (A.S.) on the first day of the month of Zil Hajjah in the second year after Hijrah. Bibi Fatima’s wedding was also celebrated in the exalted heavens, and attended by the nearest angels to Allah, the Exalted.

Many people don’t know this, but a pilgrimage has begun toward the holy shrine of Imam Reza, a pilgrimage on foot that has grown exponentially in recent years and is turning into the ‘Arbaeen of Mashhad’.

Thousands of pilgrims are walking towards the holy shrine of Imam Reza these days.

It’s a little more difficult than Arbaeen walk, as the path is not as smooth since it passes through many hills. But none of these hardships hold the lovers of Imam from walking the path of love.

Muharram ,The Month of Mourning

Imam Ridha’ (A.S.) said:

قال الرضا (ع):

كان أبي (ع) إذا دخل شهر المُحرَّم لا يُرى ضاحِكاً وكانت الكابة تغلب عليه حتَّى تمضي عشرة أيَّام فإذا كان يوم العاشر كان ذلك يوم مصيبَته وحُزنه وبُكائه

With the advent of the month of Muharram, my father Imam Kadhim (A.S.) would never be seen laughing; gloom and sadness would overcome him for (the first) ten days of the month; and when the tenth day of the month would dawn, it would be a day of tragedy, grief and weeping for him.

Imam Hussein was also very well known for his kindness, charity and love for the poor. He lived in Madina. Madina is a city in Hijaz (now in Saudi Arabia).

One day riding a horse, he passed through one of the streets of Madina. On one side of the street some beggars had gathered in a circle. They were eating food that they had begged during the day. The beggars saw Hussein passing. They saluted him. Hussein replied cheerfully. The beggars invited Hussein to join them and eat with them. Hussein came down from his horse and sat with them.

He very politely explained to the beggars that he was from the house of Muhammad, the Prophet. Therefore, it was forbidden to him to take anything that has been given in alms (sadqah). Had not alms been forbidden to him he would most willingly have shared their food.

As an alternative, so that they all could sit and eat together, Hussein invited all of them to his house and eat with him there. All the beggars agreed. They went along with Hussein to his house and took food with him.

“If one of our Shia goes for Imam Husain's (as) Ziarat, then he will not return but all his sins will be forgiven. For every step that he or his mount takes, 1,000 virtues are written for him, 1,000 sins are forgiven and his status is elevated by a 1,000 degrees”.
