For my recent Grad show, I revisited a project that I started in First Year, a portrait of my Father. When it began, it was focused on his obsessive neatness, having retired from the Irish Army, he took with him many of his soldier's attributes regarding presentation. Still to this day, he won't entertain more than two days worth of facial hair. His car is always spotless, down to the door jambs. His quiet self-imposed discipline has become the subject of many a debate, has taken many rolls of film, and I'm fairly certain, will never cease.
