I’VE OFFICIALLY GRADUATED.
A little peek at our grad project:
Blackthorn Winter
Two estranged childhood friends must overcome their shared traumas in order to break free from their destructive paths. Set in a fictional, war-torn world, this graphic novel explores adolescence, and the importance of friendship. The graphic novel is written and drawn collaboratively, and we eventually married our drawing styles seen on the left page into the result above, where Flax’ crisp pencil drawings balance out Merula’s painterly colours.
We also exhibited the process for our final show, as seen in the picture below.
My work has recently been chosen by Dutch Uncle to be exhibited in a new exhibition called ‘BRIGHT YOUNG THINGS’ at the Pan Macmillan building in Kings Cross, London and features artworks by 35 recently graduated artist, go check it out if you're in the area! http://www.artatpanmacmillan.com/bright-young-things-exhibition
