Agents 3, 4, and 8 personal headcanons, because clearly we don't already have enough of them.
I don't even play sploon I just have agent brain rot lol.
Also little touches of agent 96 heheha.
Zenin, Agent 3, Bigender, He/She
Remember that thing Zenin does in Splatoon 1, where he wiggles his arms when spawning in when starting a mission? Yeah he does that for stimming.
After the green goo incident TM, he is able to move his eyes independently of one another. He thinks it's funny, and even useful at times, but it kinda freaks out her datemates, so she only does when she's alone or when necessary.
Has one (1) neutral auditory stim, and it's him scratching a stainless steel metal box beam. She discovered this when she was like 6.
He thinks freckles and bio-luminescence spots are very pretty and is bummed he doesn't have it himself.
Chews on her drawstrings even though she shouldn't, because they taste sweet to her.
Gently claps her hands when she feels accomplished over a minor thing, IE arranging her clothes or making tea.
He has a hobby of ordering and trying craft sodas, and his datemates sometimes join in as well.
Zenin is a pleated skirts + cargo pants kinda guy. Prettiness AND functionality.
Occasionally ingests pure salt because he likes the sensation afterwards. Also pineapple on pizza enjoyer.
Meythral, Agent 4, Agender, They/xe
Used to refer themself in third person as a joke, nowadays it became a fact of their life and part of their self-identity.
Really enjoys citrus foods, to the point where xe sucks straight from the fruit. Xer datemates kinda gotten into it as well to a lesser degree, to the delight of Meythral.
Sometimes Meythral involuntarily bends xer neck after eating a meal. Has been a thing since childhood. It hurts if xe tries to resist it.
Wears sunglasses when going out. Doesn't do much against glare, though.
Sometimes puts things on top their head, no matter how silly or strange it can be.
Occasionally they feel like wearing a trench coat, above-knee length. They usually don't care about matching attire, Meythral just really likes wearing a trench coat.
Has bio-luminescence spots, mostly in their shoulders and thighs. They glow a gentle cornflower blue.
Rarely, xe does slow non lyrical singing, with xer datemates virtually always jumping in if they can.
In violation of any anatomical and physiological sense, xe is able to constantly pop xer wrists and ankles. Nonstop.
Talfra, Agent 8, Demigirl, She/They
Likes to sunbathe on the rooftops. Sometimes Zenin and Meythral join in as well.
She has a thing for beaks and taking care of them. Her datemates sometimes allow her to clean theirs.
Doesn't need to wear glasses, they just do it to feel pretty.
Allowed their tentacles to grow long enough to make a really big ponytail, similar in length to Marina. Talfra sometimes let them loose to if they want to grab more things.
Polo shirt gal. Horizontal stripes are her favorite. She WILL take personal offense if you give her vertical stripes.
Her freckles are scattered throughout her arms and in the middle of her face. Talfra was self conscious of them for a long time, but her datemates helped overcome that feeling.
Sometimes she zones out, leading to situations where her tentacles, even when in a ponytail, will try to reach out for Zenin and Meythral if they're nearby.
When standing, she occasionally lifts one of her legs in a way similar to a flamingo. She can keep it up for a good while, although she loses slowly feeling her leg when doing it.
Talfra tends to give the look of a blank stare at people who aren't close to her. Her expression also hardens into an annoyed glare if they pester her or her loved ones.

i cant say the same for the other bosses, though
however the mech boss comes close remotely
final boss gets points for the wtf factor, but thats it
i love the style of that 3d render of your character! may i ask how you animated the outline and made the whole thing pixel-y? :0

There isn't many tutorials on how to make this kind of stuff so I am totally glad to be the first one.
BLENDER 2.5D TUTORIAL
First of all
Get your model ready and steady, that part is what I ain't explaing, however if you want it to have these colors, you will have to put this nodes in your texture shader
`[ This is for her red jacket, the lower nodes is for her primary colour and the upper nodes are for her shadows, which also has some extra nodes to give it a comic texture. ]
Quick reminder to give the model some lineart yourself to the parts that don't form its sihlouette, for example her shoes.
Now for the lineart, first of all make sure you have created a black Emissive material and that it has Backface Culling activated
After that go to the Modifier Properties and add a Solidify modifier
Make sure to Flip the Normals, set the Material Offset to where the Lineart material is, and adjust a little bit the Thickness of the mesh, then you will get some natural good-looking lineart like hers.
Now, you could easily be satisfied like this, but now we are going to make it feel like each frame is a new drawing by making her model lineart jiggly
First of all create a Displacement Modifier and give it a cloud texture
Make sure to lower the strenght and midlevel, otherwise it will look like this
Now, create an Empty Plain Axes and go to the Displace modifier, change the coordinates from Local to Object and focus the object on the Empty
And thanks to this adjustments, if you move the empty around, it will create a slight jiggle
Now what we want is for this empty to automatically move around without you having to do anything
Create a new screen and go to the Graph Editor section
In here we will be making the empty move with a modifier
Select the empty and press "I" of Italy and select Location, this will create a keyframe for the empty that we will be able to manipulate
Go to the Editor and ONLY SELECT THE Z POSITION, and then go to the Modifiers tab and add a Noise modifier
Make sure to adjust the Scale and the Strength so that it looks more proper for the jiggle effect, make it look like a rollercoaster!
And now, if you did everything right, your empty will be moving up and down and all around by its own
WHICH also means, the model displacement will follow the path of the empty to create that jiggly effect we crave so so much
However...
The model is indeed jiggling, but it's doing it the wrong way, we are trying to make it look like a cartoon not a gosh darnit gelatin
So to make it jiggle the right way we are going to make its noise feel more STEPPED
Go back to the modifiers of the Graph Editor and add a Stepped Interpolation, and make sure it has a Step Size of 5
And now we finally get the choppy jiggle effect!!
Now you can play around the Displace and the Noise to make it more or less jiggly
But nonetheless, if you followed the tutorial right, you will be gifted with the perfect looking 2.5D effect!!!
Now you can go ahead and try to fool everyone into thinking a 3D animation is 2D
And before we wrap up, one more extra for the one who asked how this is made,
We are going to make the render feel pixel-y!
Go to Render Properties, make sure you are using Eevee, and in Sampling put the Render on 1 and the Viewport on 0
Then go to Output Properties and you can do two things:
1) Change the X n Y to a size lower than 1000 px
2) Change the Resolution % to these numbers (8, 16, 32, 64) This way if you wanna do pixel art you are more accurate
For this render I used the 1st option
And last but not least, in the Output Properties make sure you save your files in the right way with these settings
THen render animation, make an image sequence with all the pngs, and TA-DAH
You get a pixel-y 2.5D animation!!!

Violet Head - Third boss of RF2.
I very much like this boss. You get to chase after an armored train! THAT SPANS ON FOUR TRACKS. TEN CARS LONG.
ITS HUGE.
You have to destroy whatever is on those rail cars while being attacked by enemy trains and aircraft. Getting there takes a hot while, but once you reach the engine, you have to deal with a three cannon turret that needs to be destroyed before you hammer down on Violet Head's core.

Hummingbird - Fifth boss of RF2
I love this boss.
It PLOWS THROUGH THE CLOUDS during its debut introduction in RF2, timing perfectly in sync with the boss theme. Its designation, XB-3, denotes that the boss is experimental. And it very much looks experimental. Black is painted nearly all over the Hummingbird, with sliverish accents touched in and khaki/tan colored in the ends of the wings. There are two absolute units of jet engines, one on each side of the fuselage, that are tailed with flaps that help direct and control the flow of propulsion. All of this combined with the sleek design helps complete this humongous boss.
Even in Jet, where its reduced to just a mini boss, the Hummingbird gets a snazzy red coat of paint and dashes into the screen with great speed and agility.
Absolutely wonderful design.

Red Eye - Final boss of the game!
Uh...
How the hell does this thing float, much less fly?!
It's side thrusters are too small to believably support the weight of Red Eye, and the thrusters at the back seem more intended for agility rather than speed, despite its apparently esoteric placement. The only thing I can think of that is plausible is some really hidden anti gravity device that HEAVILY reduces the load for the other thrusters, because I don't see any exhaust coming from the bottom of Red Eye.
Moving from that…
At the front Red Eye has, well, its namesake red eye, that doesn't get destroyed in any phase of the boss fight for some reason. The front also has some shields, which can take a decent beating before being destroyed. In its center (fuselage?) are dual hidden twin cannons that are extendable, which bewilders me on how it can even fit in there. and a super powered cannon launcher thing at the center
I very much like the design but I get frustrated on how Red Eye even works. And its reappearance in Jet does nothing to answer any of my questions.

So those are my thoughts on these bosses! I do have more for some of the others in the series, but I don't think I have enough steam left. Maybe for another time in the short time future, who knows?
