Reflection 

Watched with the class a video about any idea that can become either physical either for art piece or has a meaning. 

I thought about that idea taking inspiration from any daily life object and creating something new,and if to start to draw focus on spaces rather on details.Also John Ruskin was a teacher in our college how amazing is that,so since then college was an art college,and it’s great that college keeps it’s tradition of learning by specific methods,going around the nature and getting inspired by it.

As I was going back to home I realised that Colindale area actually looks like a Bauhaus "Form follows functionality" because of Primary hue, and a shape being used on the building that I have taken picture of it.

New experience 

Renaissance

It went more clear today that Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo were two different persons .They both were doing similar work such as sculptors, painting, and architecture.

Went through communication with Asier ,to draw a figure with a poster.After we had to swap and this time I was telling Asier what to draw.

Also Gareth was sharing his portfolio ,how he turns from doodles to bigger art work.

Reflection

When are you drawing ?Is it part of you planning? When I draw sometimes it’s part of my head plans.

Are there other process that you could use? Indeed  I can and it is to do list which  I’m not really use to it,I usually follow my digital calendar ,adding notes on it .I have tried to do list another way of working, only need to get use to it. 

I think if I do doodles on the bus or on the way and later on develop idea which I have used in the past with underground’s billboard advert.

Learned new words such as doodle=rought sketch,brainstorm= to suggest a lot of ideas for a future activity very quickly before considering some of them more carefully ,scamps,milestone= an important event in the development ,refine=to create something pure,and Initial concept.Learned about discipline and how to manage time in the different ways such as do to list which was new to me ,I usually use Google calendar and settings notes with alarms what to do .Mostly I just do it.

Zine

Haven’t thought that it can be great to create secound Zine in my life with only using simple ideas from my life story!When I have created my Zines I have swapped with my class mates to view their ideas ,and it was great to know better your class mates .Zines reminds me of Tumblr ,it started in the 70s how amazing is that.

Flowers Gallery

Very interesting artist named Tim Lewis .What creates euphoria in his work and why ?because it’s interesting that art can draw it self mechanically ,cats hand does a magical movement ,at the same time bird’s head follows the movement once you move a handle on the red circle something new for me .The negative point of view is that you cannot control mechanical hand only little bit and remarkable thing is that it’s half mechanical and half art piece.

Bernard Cohen

He met his teacher William who was his best figure and gave him advice “The greatest advice I can give you it’s never ever to repeat your self” and since then he creates marvelous work that was inside of him.First Time when I saw his work  I thought it was part of graffiti that reflects Brick lane.

Edmund Clark white cliffs blue channel

Strong photograph ,because has connotation meaning of a white stone with bolts that look powerful to stay there ,but we don’t know ,is it artificial?Are bolts actual strong for certain physical power that could pull out?

Terry Frost

Terry Frost does similar art work as Frank Stella ,only Frank Stella geos for cubism more than circler motion .Why their work nearly similar  because they are both colour enthusiasts. 

Eduardo Paolozzi  sculpture has similarity with Antony Gormley work ,but Antony Gormley likes to work in the bigger space and interact with the nature ,to create an effect that sculpture becomes part of the nature ,because we can see his sculptures in the actual water ,however Eduardo Paolozzi was an pop artist and what he done that’s it it will stay for ever in that way,though Antony Gormley is alive and it’s possible to maybe collaborate with him and create sculpture with him and swap real life ideas about art.

Exploring further down Shorditch

Bit by bit I understood that Shorditch focus is on art even architecture blends into euphorian atmosphere.Hackney and Bricklane has different shops ,independent shops.Seems like some shops don’t even try to persuade costumers ,their point is to be special.

Started Exploring Shoreditch 

Walking around the Bricklane I started to view local areas visual thoughts . 

It was a half cloudy ,half cold day to walk around ,but still I could feel and imagine how Bricklane looks like in the summer the smells the coffee pop music etc.

Exhibition for Feast Creative and Feedback about my work.

So My one is In Bauhaus style ,aim was to use the Primary colours and create Minimal poster as possible .Some people accepted some didn’t .It gives as question to polish more or leave it ? Even teacher gave the similar answer in terms of it’s never perfect until client or as a designer I have to accept the idea of reality.

Learned new skill in adobe illustrator.Combining black and white letters on the square,but I need to practice because I might forget it.Done poster on the left asked for teachers advice that was corrected on the right side also used Futura font.

Was introduced to the new brief today.

Learned about word gentrification which means “the process by which an area is changed by people who have more money moving to live there and making improvements to the buildings”

Semiotics  

Haven’t thought about different cultures when I was creating this poster ,because in Chinese culture white colour can represent death ,but in Western it can represent peace or clear soul .My point of creating this poster in this way was to have minimal idea and to use less print colours on the paper.

Mood Board For Feast Creative

Gathered information through streets,museums through internet ,drawn drawings in the physical portfolio and there you go first mood board on 4 layouts and first poster concepts that was combined with Bauhaus concept and script fonts though posters where created fully on the Adobe Photoshop and in Design used primary colours to create Bauhaus feeling.Another poster  in the metallic reflection was taken from the actual play ,I chose that scene picture because it reminds of a harmony and Shakespeare was creating a harmony in his stories ,however I added a Bauhaus font that would change the rhythm of the poster and the ones with the picture were only modified to create more organic feeling of the poster by adding a few different green hues from lighter to darker.

Feast Creative accepted the idea of the Forrest theme/background and  also have said it’s not bad to keep the potions .They told me to create a Bauhaus donkey front view or side view   or in silhouette the printed donkey that was created from linoleum etching technique.I will experiment with these and will see which works the best.

A Midsummer Night's Dream Play by William Shakespeare is a comedy ,so I chose a funny picture to work on . Nevertheless  I was drawing/developing Ancient Greek column building that would clearly show that it’s in Greece.

In fact there are font tables that I used and I would like to use what I showed them ,so Feast Creative and teacher told me to use Avant Garde(Advance Guard) ,Futura ,only don’t use Sans Serif because it doesn't look great in that context.

Their point was to keep it really simple ,Dates/Venue.

Zine Day

I was introduced so called ‘’Zine’’ My generation might not know it ,because I didn’t knew it before teacher on  Monday showed to us a video that Before blogs people would create ‘’Zine’’!  In the 70s ,such as people who were Punk rockers or in another words those who were in punk rock fashion movement .So I started my Zine as a Road signs as I wrote in my essay about graphics designer who created UK’s standard signs .
