“Maybe a less annoying one, but it would get lonely,” Bianca nods, laughing quietly. “Hey – I kept inching closer, if you didn’t notice,” she laughs out, shaking her head. “Next time, we’ll just have to cuddle and watch Fern Gully – that sounds smart, right?” She asks before showing Karina a shy smile. “Okay – I’ll keep that in mind,” she said quietly, looking down to her lap and smiling slightly. Bianca looks back up to Karina, “You’re a fun date.”

“Um, no. You’re not annoying. I know annoying. You are not that,” Karina says, shaking her head. She giggles, shrugging. “I dunno, it didn’t seem like you were. Probably because I was moving closer at the same time. Either way, you were too far away so I had to right that,” she explains. She scrunches her nose. “But if you turn on Fern Gully, I’m gonna think of the last time and then I won’t be able to think because I’ll just want to kiss you,” she whines, unable to keep a smile off of her face. She blushes and looks down, waving her free hand dismissively. “Barely. I’m like- I’m not that fun.”

Bianca let out a soft giggle, shaking her head. “Thank you, I appreciate it lots,” she smiles before widening her smile at the sight of Karina’s cheeks heating up. “Okay, maybe I did start it – but still, you were distracting me so I couldn’t help it. I’m really glad I did it though, kissed you. It was funny because before I did it, I kinda did it impulsively but like a second before it actually happened, I got so nervous,” she laughed out, shrugging softly. “Amazing – those kinds are gonna be my favourite dates.”

Karina waves her hand dismissively. “I’m happy to help you out. It’d be a lonely cruise without you,” she laughs. She licks her lips, shrugging her shoulders. “I dunno, I definitely think you were the source of distraction. Like- how was I supposed to focus on a movie when you were sitting so far away? I couldn’t!” She explains, giggling lightly. “Well, you don’t have to be nervous to do it again. You are totally allowed to kiss me whenever you want,” she says happily, smiling widely. She nods in agreement. “I think they’re gonna be my favorites too. But I’m gonna enjoy every date with you no matter what.”

“Good – please don’t push me out, I can’t swim,” she laughs, shaking her head at herself. She let out a soft sigh, nodding along with Karina’s words. “We didn’t really watch the movie – well, I didn’t – you kept distracting me,” Bianca laughs quietly. “But, cuddles and movies never get old, so they’re always a good date idea.”

“Lucky for you, I’m an amazing swimmer, so if you fall out, I can save you,” she assures her, smiling widely. She giggles and nods, her cheeks becoming even more red. “Well... It’s kinda hard to focus on a movie when you’re so close to someone you like so much.. But to be fair, you started the kissing. So you technically started the distractions,” she points out, biting her lip. “That sounds like an amazing time, we’ll definitely have to do that for a later date.”

Bianca lets out a content sigh, resting her chin on her fist and keeping her gaze on Karina. “This is probably the most anyone’s complimented me in years too, so we’re on the same boat,” she said with a small laugh, shrugging gently. “I think we should have a date where one of us comes over to the others room and just cuddle.”

“I wouldn’t wanna share this boat with anyone else,” she says genuinely. She giggles and nods at Bianca’s date idea. “We definitely should. Isn’t that what we did last time we were together, though? We cuddled and watched a movie and... Made out,” she recalls, blushing a little at the memory. She wishes that she was able to kiss Bianca now, but she figures she can wait until after dinner.

Bianca shook her head slightly, looking down for a moment. “I like complimenting you too, I just need to be better at it,” she laughed out quietly, shrugging gently. “I’m gonna up my game anyway, but don’t die. I’d be very sad.”

Karina shrugs her shoulders, smiling at the other girl. “I think you’re amazing with compliments. This is... Probably the most anyone’s complimented me in years,” she admits, looking down and blushing. She giggles and looks up again. “I’ll try not to die. At least not before I get another date. The first one and I think I’m already addicted.”

“Okay, good,” Bianca says with a small smile, letting her gaze drop to their hands for a few seconds before looking back up to Karina. “Stop that,” she whines out jokingly, biting her lip. “You’re too nice to me, I need to up my game.”

“It’s your own fault for being so darn cute,” she says, giggling. “I like complimenting you, though. You’re adorable, I wanna make sure you remember that,” she explains, shrugging her shoulders. Complimenting Bianca comes naturally. “You don’t need to up your game, though. I might die if you do.”

“I just try not to focus on what people think of me,” Bianca shrugs gently, letting her gaze drop for a moment. “– But, I dunno. I focus on what people think of me if it’s positive, like what you think of me, I hope,” she quickly adds with a small laugh. “Did I tell you that you look really pretty tonight? You always do but…”

Karina nods, continuing to brush Bianca’s hand lightly with her thumb. She really doesn’t think that anyone could possibly have something bad to say about her. She’s so kind and adorable and beautiful. How can anyone dislike that? “I only have positive thoughts about you,” she confirms, smiling widely at the brunette. She blushes and shrugs her shoulders, looking down. “You might’ve mentioned it. But I don’t look half as pretty as you.”

Bianca smiles over to Karina softly before looking down to the table for a moment. “Well, you’re not just anyone, are you?” She said questioningly, shrugging gently at her words. “Maybe not hate though, just strongly dislike.”

Karina brushes her thumb lightly against the side of Bianca’s forefinger, smiling at her. “I suppose I’m not. But I still don’t believe anyone could even dislike you,” she says honestly, shrugging her shoulders. She can’t see any reason why anyone would ever dislike her. It’s impossible.

Bianca shrugs gently, shooting Karina a small smile and laces their fingers. She sends a sure nod over to the girl and placed her own menu down. “Really?” She questions, furrowing her eyebrows slightly. “I can barely touch anything – I’m too picky. Everyone hates me for it.”

Karina’s smile widens when Bianca laces their fingers. It amazes her how nice such a small gesture makes her feel. Everything Bianca does makes her feel nice and warm inside. “Mhm,” she hums, nodding her head. She furrows her eyebrows. “I don’t think I really believe that anyone can hate you,” she tells her, shaking her head.

Bianca lets out a soft laugh as she watches Karina. “Don’t worry, I don’t think you’re awkward,” she hummed out, offering the girl a small smile. “Yeah, let’s do that then,” she says, giving a Karina a positive nod. “I don’t like anything else on my pizza anyway, so there’s nothing else I want.”

“I don’t know how you don’t, but I’m really glad about it,” Karina says, smiling back at Bianca and reaching to hold her hand over the table. She nods and places her menu carefully on the table with her free hand. “Good, it’s decided,” she says. “Honestly, I don’t really care what goes on it. I’ll eat pretty much anything.”

“I will,” Bianca nods, smiling over to Karina. She bites her lip when she hears the pet name leave Karina’s lips, looking up to her. “No, no. It’s okay, I like it,” she reassures, letting her hand go over the table and rub the girl’s arm reassuringly. “I didn’t remember if we decided on that or not, but yeah that.”

Karina lowers her hand a little when she feels Bianca’s hand on her arm, taking a deep breath to try and calm her nerves. She clears her throat and looks back down at the table. “I think I win the award for most awkward,” she mumbles, playing with the menu in front of her. “I think that that is a good choice... Unless you want something else, of course,” she says, looking up at Bianca.

Bianca’s smile widens when she notices Karina bush again. “Good,” she says, biting at her lip gently. “Oh, really? That’s nice. I’ll have to let you know if I see him,” Bianca nods. She lets out a soft sigh, looking down to the menu for a moment. “What do you like your pizza?” The brunette questions, looking back up to Karina.

Karina nods, biting her lip. “He’s Professor Millstone. You’ll have to tell him I said hey if you see him,” she says, before looking down at the table. She furrows her eyebrows a little, looking at Bianca. “Babe, didn’t we decide on half cheese, half pepperoni?” She asks. Her eyebrows shoot up when she realizes what she said and she covers her face a little. “I’m sorry, it slipped,” she apologizes, her cheeks burning brightly.

“Well, I like you lots,” Bianca says, shooting a smile over to Karina. It’s probably really obvious that Bianca’s really excited to just be here and she’s not even concerned about looking like an idiot. “Oh, that’s nice,” she nodded, looking around the area for a moment. “I never really spent any time around here before coming out here so for the first few weeks, I literally just walked around like an idiot – I mean, I still do, walk around like an idiot, but a little less.”

Karina blushes, looking down a little to hide her face. “I’m glad to hear that,” she says, giggling lightly as she looks back up. She nods her head, shrugging her shoulders. “I still get lost. I didn’t really explore that much, the furthest I went was, like, a few T stops. I just... I dunno. I was staying with a family friend for a bit and I was kinda scared to leave the house. The friend, uh, he’s actually one of the psych professors here, I don’t know if you’ve had him yet. He’s a cool dude,” she says, hoping to redirect the conversation. She’s starting to head down a dark path with the topic of that summer and the last thing she wants is to start feeling down while she’s out with Bianca.

Bianca scrunches her nose up for a moment when Karina kisses her cheek before smiling over at her. “Yeah, just a little though, you’re alright,” she shrugs before letting out a soft laugh – following closely behind the waitress and Karina as she leads them to their table. She sits down across from Karina and offers another smile to the girl. “I’ve never been here before actually,” she said, nodding along with her words.

“I’m just surprised you like me back at all,” Karina admits, laughing lightly. She still isn’t exactly sure what Bianca sees in her, but she’s glad that she does. She won’t have to hide her feelings around her, which she’s glad about. She nods and looks at the table, playing with the set of silverware that was on her side of the table. “A few years ago, I spent my summer around here. That’s, uh, that’s actually how I decided I wanted to go to BC,” she says, shrugging her shoulders.

“Mhm,” Bianca hums out, shrugging gently and smiling over to Karina. She feels her cheeks heat up slightly at Karina’s words, shaking her head. “Shut up,” she laughs out softly, nudging Karina gently. “I like a lot of things about you too, but I think I told you that?” She says questioningly, letting out a soft chuckle.

Karina smiles widely, leaning up to kiss Bianca’s cheek again. She really just wants to kiss her lips, but she figures she can save that for after the pizza. “I kinda had an inkling that you liked me, at least a little. I mean, you are here on a date with me and all,” she says, wiggling her eyebrows. She straightens up a little when a waitress comes up to them and tells them to follow her to a table. Karina sits down across from Bianca, placing her hands in front of herself politely and crossing her legs. “I’ve always loved this place. It’s so close to campus, it’s so nice.”

“You sound pretty crazy to me,” she shrugs jokingly before offering her grin over to Karina. “I’m joking. You’re extremely sane,” Bianca laughs out, letting her thumb graze the back of the girl’s hand gently. “Thank you, I really am. I just can’t help it. Food is amazing,” she giggles out, shaking her head slightly.

“Don’t be a butthead,” she giggles, hiding her face behind her free hand. She looks up at Bianca, biting her bottom lip. “Really? You do?” She asks, her smile growing again. It’s impossible to not smile widely when she’s around the other girl. Completely and unbelievably impossible. She nods her head, leaning against her a little. “Well, I like that about you. I like a lot of things about you,” she admits, blushing and looking down at her feet.

Bianca smiles over at Karina, shaking her head gently. “You’re crazy,” she hums out, shaking her head once more before letting out a soft laugh. “I mean, who doesn’t? I think that’s something I’m really passionate about – food,” the brunette jokes, grinning widely at Karina.

“I’m not crazy,” she pouts, her lip jutting out a little. She likes how silly she can be with Bianca and not care about what anyone thinks. It’s something she hasn’t been able to do in so long. She nods in agreement, laughing. “Oh, I can tell. You’re loyal to your passion, too. Sticking with foods you like. It’s very honorable.”
