"I have watched the world for four thousand years. Can you even imagine that length of time? If you could, it would drive you from your senses." (The Return of Daud)
When I sneaked into Daud's hideout, I blinked above him with malicious intent, discovered a lot of books there and after a few minutes of reading I was like "emmm just a key is fine", grabbed it and run.
It's my first painting after a few years break. I feel rusty, but at least Dishonored gave me enough inspirations to drive away my art block <3
My first ever Dishonored fanart from 5 years ago. It's great to see this franchise getting more love recently <3
Story by @sylfen (go go read 'Inversion' fic on AO3 <3), art by me
I'll go down with this ship...
Slowly getting there to finish that Ramji comics :D
One of my favorite pieces inspired by the amazing fic 'Inversion' by @sylfen (AO3 link).
Fixed it :D

Old glory, old unrequited love. Granny Rags is such a great character!
Based on @spicymotte's 'Lack of Taste' fanfic, which I absolutely adore <3
My little tribute to 'The Changing of the Guard', a Vampyr fanfic by Sweetbloodynocturne on AO3.
I need the dark academia, and academia community in general to stop sleeping on the game “Vampyr”. Like PLEASE—
That shit is as dark academia as it can get. A very engaging detective story that plays out during industrial London, where you get to take on the role of a doctor named Jonathan Reid. He comes back from the Great War, but gets bitten and returns to life as a vampire, after which it is a tug of war between his morals and his endless hunger. A wide arrange of characters in this game will provide both drama and food, if you choose to go down that path and embrace someone, but truly, no character in Vampyr is a saint.
That’s where the true gothic element comes in. The design of the game is also very gothic of course, since it is London during the Edwardian era, but the way you can barely fully root for someone because of the skeletons you find in their closet the deeper you dig, is my favourite part of the writing.
I also love how the topics of secret societies, occult and supernatural creatures mix in with real issues and movements that existed at the time, like the suffragettes, the workers rights unions, and then the racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia and so on.
If you love dark academia and visual storytelling you HAVE GOT to get in on this. From my personal experience, it’s a very engaging game that ticks pretty much every box in the aesthetic genre.
Please please play Vampyr - it’s a rare gem with a great dark lore and I desperately need more fanfics in that universe! <3

my piece for @dishonoredgiftexchange - a gift for @yoshiusfiru!! illustration from the return of daud - i love how brutal he is so i drew the part from the beginning when he attacks an overseer 🥰 i love daud
AAAAAAAAAAAAA THANK YOU SO MUCH it`s so coooooool i really like this episode just daud: this one is too young to know me overseer: are you daud? REAL DAUD?! KNIFE-OF-DUNWALL-DAUD?!!
It made me smile when Daud went his usual way, scared the shit out of this Overseer and then realized he was dealing with just a young initiate, too terrified now to speak coherently and give any information, so he tried to pacify the situation with:
"We are going to get along just fine. We will become great friends and we will talk and sing long into the night, and the day you met the Knife of Dunwall will be the greatest day in your entire life."
SPOILER: They didn't sing (sadly), but that baby Overseer survived and made a cameo in "The Veiled Terror" novel.
Okay so after rewatching the scene where the Outsider redoes Billie’s arm I can see why people thought that scene was gross. It also doesn’t fit the Outsider’s personality…
That was my first impression too, but after thinking more of it, actually the Outsider saved Billie from slipping into madness and had a good personal reason to do so.
Billie’s body modifications are nothing like a fancy tatoo easy to hide under a glove. She was attacked and marred by the Outsider and it feels even more bad considering the fact, that she was crippled before in D2, „healed” by our actions in Stilton Manor and then crippled again in DOTO - her flesh and blood replaced with prosthesis from hell against her will.
Except there was something terrible wrong with Billie’s arm and eye before that: her body flickering, a part of this world and yet apart, what is and what could be (like the walking Void hollow). Billie was slowly losing her mind with constant nightmares, her every morning taking awhile to know what's real, her fingers going stiff for hours after waking up, her eye going blind without warning. It was worse and worse every day and a matter of time before she would lose control over her „healed” arm and eye, or even become mad like Stilton did. The Outsider saved her from that fate, severing her tether to previous timeline and linking her directly to the Void instead. It was forced, because he knew Billie wouldn’t trust him or accept his offer.
The problem is: as the players, we’ve experienced very little of what Billie felt with her body before that cutscene. Without reading her journals, she seems quite fine. There is no playable nightmare like Daud’s one in BW, no unexpected blindness or our hand going stiff, leaving us vulnerable and terrified for a moment, because we can’t fully trust this body (like in Soma). Loosing control over playable character doesn’t sound fun in the immersive sim game, but moments like that could be added to already scripted actions, for example entering/leaving a carriage or while talking with Daud (he could even express a deep concern there is something wrong with Billie).
Back to the Outsider, voluntarily saving random people from suffering doesn’t fit his personality either (even Corvo had to rot in Coldrigde for months), but after reading Dishonored tie-in novels his motives are more clear. He put a lot of effort into setting up the stage for his fall, moving the Twin-bladed Knife from the depths of the mine in the farthest north part of the Empire to the top of the mountain in the farthest south. And when everything was ready, the final piece, Daud, was swept from the board and he had to replace him with Billie to continue with the plan.
The person determined enough to leave everything behind and go straight to hell, knowing it’s probably a one way ticket. The person who tasted power before, understood what good and bad it can bring, and doesn’t crave for that power anymore (wouldn’t choose to tap into the Outsider’s power like Delilah or decide to mess with entire timeline like Zhukov). The person who knows what’s like to be forgiven and given a chance to start a new life without deserving it.
