25 ways i take care of myself in under 5 minutes â°đ¤
i heard this quote in one of my favorite podcasts recently: âif you feel like you don't have five minutes, take an hour.â what was meant by this is if you feel like you're so strapped for time â busy, stressed â then you should actually be taking more time out for yourself to avoid mental burnout or a physical illness.
but sometimes, you legitimately only have five minutes! so in those situations, what can you do?
i thought about this a lot recently because of my recent health issues that arose out of me neglecting myself, and so far this is what i've come up with! each item can be completed in under five minutes â i've tested it personallyđ

How to Build Emotional Resilience
1. Talk to someone: Sharing how we feel helps to reduce the inner tension (but make sure it is someone who cares about your feelings).
2. Work on improving your self-esteem: Self-esteem is the way you see and feel about yourself ⌠and there are lots of lots of things that undermine our self esteem. For example, experiencing a break up, putting on unwanted weight, doing badly on a test or being excluded by our friends. Itâs important that we keep on working on our self-esteem by treating ourselves well and noticing when we succeed (instead of noticing the negatives).
3. Manage your stress levels: If weâre always feelings stressed then itâs hard to cope with life. We tend to over react and have a negative mind set ⌠which drains us of our energy and saps our will to fight. So take a look at your lifestyle and see what you can drop. You may be doing too much, and donât have time to relax.
4. Make the time and effort to enjoy yourself: Doing things that we enjoy helps to improve the way we feel. So build in little things like having coffee with a friend, or going to a game, or taking time to watch some sports.
5. Choose a healthy life style: Pay attention to your diet and how much you exercise; try to limit alcohol, and donât deprive yourself of sleep.
6. Develop good relationships: Do your friends make you happy? Do you enjoy their company? Are they kind of people with your best interests at heart? Do they treat you with respect and help to boost your self-esteem? If not, then work on finding new relationships!

PACKING TAPE?? fucking PACKING TAPE??
ten small habits to start doing âĄ
never go to the bathroom with your phone. It's gross , wastes time , and spreads germs.
are you a forgetful person? set alarms and reminders for things you need to do (drinking water , homework , showering, etc)
be kind! always say hi to people you know and smile at strangers. don't be afraid to compliment people too!!
cant be bothered exercising? try dancing instead. this could be learning a new dance , a Kpop choreography , literally anything!
put screen-time on your phone/devices. maybe start off with 10pm - 7am being the time that you shouldn't be on any devices, and then gradually increase it. it will help you be more productive and sleep better.
if you have a sweet tooth like me but are still trying to be healthy , try starting off the day with something sweet! fruits and oats , honey and porridge , french toast , pancakes , etc.
try cooking/baking/making something new each week. i allocate a Sunday each week to looking through a recipe book , walking down to a grocery store , coming back and baking something! cooking is a very helpful skill.
double cleanse your face every morning and night. even if you don't wear makeup , it helps get rid of any excess dirt and leaves your face fresh and clean!
when using skincare (more specifically moisturiser), never rub the product into your skin in a downward motion! it can drag your face down over time. try an upward or circular motion instead.
keep your house tidy , especially your room / workspace. tidy space = tidy mind.

Five Habits To Fix Your Problems
1. NON-NEGOTIABLE

⢠Cold Showers.
⢠10 min journaling .
⢠No screen time an hour before bed.
⢠No food 2 hours before bed.
⢠Stretching.
2. 80/20 RULE
Investing most of your energy and time on specific tasks that create a big impact and maximize your productivity.
20% of the tasks yield 80% of the results.
80% of your productivity comes from
20% of your tasks. By identifying and prioritizing the most important tasks, you can maximize your efficiency and focus on what truly matters.

By eliminating these distractions, you create space to focus on meaningful activities.

Get to know yourself đа
the key to confidence is knowing yourself and what you want. so here are some tips for you to start embracing and knowing yourself âĄ
find your "aesthetics" or start presenting yourself the way you would like to.
there are a lot of styles you could get inspo from, and feel the best in. I want you to not put yourself in one box of an aesthetic like "I like coquette, so I will forever wear things like it". sure! you can do it if you feel like this is the style that suits you most, but if you feel like expressing yourself more than in one go for it! there is no way you have to pressure yourself to fit in one category just because people or you wonât be "confused". you are you by wearing pink dolly dresses with grey hoodies and cargo pants.
find hobbies and stand strong by them
try many different things which you will enjoy. books, movies, knitting, writing, journaling, self care and the list goes on. do not listen to anyone saying that itâs "weird" or "doesnât suit you". this is what will make you , you! never let go of beautiful things that make you happy. even if you like collecting dolls at the age of 16 (like me) and society tells you itâs childâs hobby, so be it. hobbies do not have an age range bc with the same logic they could say "knitting if for grandmas".

find some promts on pinterest and write , write , write
start being comfortable with yourself or when youâre alone
realize that you are that person whoâs funny , charming, smart, INTERESTING. a lot of us are uncomfortable with being alone and have the need to always meet someone. now donât get me wrong, you have to meet people! do not by any means isolate yourself but forcing yourself to meet just because you donât like being all alone is wrong. Imagine going on dates where you go to YOUR favorite restaurant, order YOUR favorite food, buy YOURSELF the prettiest flowers. why donât you like being with yourself if you and your body knows all your favorite things , and offer a lot than anybody could ? my advice for you to is go out on single dates , sit in your home and read a book, or even in silence just with yourself. and you will realize a lot more about yourself. trust me youâre going to love it <3
set goals and make promises to yourself , work on them
these are essential things that will help you trust yourself more. I want you to remember that everything in your life is success. even if itâs not "perfect" itâs yours! and thatâs what should matter the most. keep growing and teaching yourself.

Stop making it hard for yourself đđ. The only reason why u think itâs hard is because you care about the 3d. GIVE UP ON IT. BE the person u want to be in imagination. FREE YOURSELF IN IMAGINATION. You can have what u want INSTANTLY in imagination, so why are u crying about not having it? You are your only enemy in the law. Take YOUR word for it. Be unstoppable. Take what u want. BE what u want. When are u going to get sick of not having what you want? When are u finally going to say, âfuck it, I have what I want.â ? Stop being a victim and be victorious.
