summer creeps over slow in atlanta - it sinks into the shadows of looming skyscrapers, into the cracked-tar sidewalks and the country club golf courses. heat wears on high society as elegantly as a silk gown, comforted in their lavish summer homes and the ice-cold gems dangling from their fingers - but the other 99% of the population is not nearly so lucky. just outside their manicured lawns and crystalline windows, the world is changing. colosseums of steel and glass rise and fall in tandem with the regimes of politicians, each more corrupt or inept than the next. “for now, these hot days, is the mad blood stirring” - and summer sinks into atlanta, slow and viscous; churning all the city’s fools in a spiral.
