For All Mankind│2x2 - The Bleeding Edge
- I do want you to put together a proposal for a new mission. An American astronaut and a Soviet cosmonaut coming together to show our common purpose with a handshake in space. […]You dock the two ships, open the hatch, they shake hands on live TV, Bob's your uncle. Ed, I'll need some ideas on the crew, people that best reflect what our country is all about. Strength, freedom, maybe, uh… maybe a young face in there for the MTV crowd. - Yeah. I'll see if Madonna's available.
For All Mankind│3x3 - All In
In just under ten minutes, Sojourner will launch from NASA's Jamestown moon base, joining Helios and Russia in a three-way race to Mars. With the three missions launching in the same two-week period, it's an open question. Who will be the first to complete the million mile journey?
For All Mankind│3x6 - New Eden
You know, growing up in Detroit, there weren't a lot of kids like me. Back then, especially in the neighborhood I grew up in, you just didn't tell people you were gay. It was hard. I got bullied a lot. And there were days where I felt like I didn't want to go on... like maybe the world was better off without me in it. But I did go on, and now here I am. The first gay man on Mars. So, if you're a kid out there that feels like maybe you're broken somehow, like the world would be better off without you in it... I promise you, it's the world that's broken, not you.
For All Mankind│3x7 - Bring It Down
-About your work thing, maybe there's some data points you're not considering. -Trust me, I've looked at everyone who's worked for me. -I know, but... maybe it's not someone that worked for you. I don't know. Just saying.
For All Mankind│4x03 - The Bear Hug
-That's a shooting star. That's the universe sending us a message. -The universe doesn't send messages. -How do you know? -It's not sentient. Doesn't give a damn about you and me. It's just a collection of random particles careening through a void. -Well, that's a message too. Isn't it?
For All Mankind│4x09 - Brazil
When I was younger, I wasn't afraid of anything. Not even death. I always thought I'd go out in a... blaze of glory. Gordo. He once told me about his father when he got cancer. His dad was a marine. Tough as nails, but... towards the end... he was terrified. Weak. I just. I don't wanna wind up like that, Kel.
For All Mankind│5x07 - The Sirens of Titan
Kuragin rushed into a mission plan before everything was ready. And guess what? The exact same thing happened to us. This whole mission has suffered from what NASA used to call "go fever." When everyone convinces themselves they're not seeing the problems they're seeing because everyone wants to say "go" and no one wants to say "stop." Well, I am saying stop.
It’s dangerous. Lives have been lost, and, honestly, probably more will be lost. But every one of us knew the risks before we joined, the toll it takes on us and on the ones we love. But we all signed up just the same. It’s the price we pay to push forward… to explore the universe and wander into the unknown. Pushing ourselves to the limits of what’s possible. Are there sacrifices that have to be made? Of course. But sacrifice is a part of any journey.
FOR ALL MANKIND (2019 - ): Season One
That’s the thing. Good men die in test planes all the time. But we don’t change the whole culture of flight test ‘cause good men die. We still get up there and push the envelope every single day, and maybe, maybe today’s the day you don’t come back. We all know that. It’s always there. But we get up there anyway, and we keep taking the risks. But we stopped taking risks at NASA, and that’s why we lost the moon.
FOR ALL MANKIND | S01E01 ‘Red Moon’
For All Mankind │1x5 - Into the Abyss
Face it. We are egomaniacal narcissists. I bet Columbus was… and Magellan. And they had to be to do what they did. I say here’s to selfish pricks. ‘Cause we move the ball forward for mankind.
For All Mankind | Season 4 (2023-24), Ronald D. Moore, Matt Wolpert, and Ben Nedivi
