The Foveo Gella B head arrived! The packaging is lovely and very thematic. The box included a notepad and a certificate/photocard.

So I unpacked the Unoss body to try her on. I find the head very old doll aesthetic, which matches the body in my mind. The neck is a fairly good fit with a bit of a bulge and small sliver of the neckhole showing if the head is tilted to the max. The head is a little large for my usual preference, but I wanted her to look more old-school bjd so I think she’s perfect.

The head is a little pinker than the body of course!

LOVE the proportions!! Volks has quite a few melon-headed sculpts, so yeah this def fits that old-school doll style. She's gonna look so good!

It’s midnight and I’m wide awake sick after a hella day so OF COURSE I lost my mind and bid on an Unoss body on Yahoo Japan. I don’t even remotely have any plans or heads for such a body.

I had to, quick-like, list a bunch of stuff for sale to compensate, including the Supia 65cm body. After getting the Feeple60 Moe I just couldn’t bear the weight of the Supia, I knew I wouldn’t be satisfied with it in the long run. Fingers crossed that sells fast because I’m an idiot. 😳

If it sells then I can relax and actually look forward to UNOSS HUGENESS

So I don’t expect to ever find a Unoss head at an affordable price so I’m looking at everything on my “maybe someday” list that might remotely match this body in size and style.

I think the FOVEO Gella.B head is my favorite right now. But they don’t offer faceups so mine would never ever look as amazing as their website pictures:

But I think she would be amazing on the Unoss body? Like really really amazing. I’m sure the color wouldn’t match but I can fix that now! I’m not positive about the size though. The website says she’s 8.5", I think that would be roughly ok?

Ooooooooh I missed this!! You're gonna love all the Unoss body details. She's got really nice toes too! Their movement is limited but they hold poses really well, and the humongous feet/calves are stable as heck. Your pants pattern (shortened up, with some room added for the XXL calves) will fit that butt perfectly. The body is really adaptable - we've played body swap at doll meets and pretty much every head looks good on it.

So! I was planning on grinding down the super thick neck of the Hujoo Io body to fit my Mara head. When I took out the inner rubber neck piece, it was much bigger than I expected and the walls of the neck were quite thin.

Change of plans; I decided to hit the neck with a heat gun to try and mush the walls in a bit. It was fairly successful! I was able to push them in just a bit (so that the rubber plug would no longer fit), then I reinforced the area with a doughnut of Apoxie. I did discolor the plastic a bit from my repeated attempts but it's only surface deep and disappears with some sanding.

I'm still sanding away, but the fit is so much better already! I think I might replace the rubber of a few other joints with epoxy (looking at you, crazy upper thigh piece).

Ahoy @dollsahoy ! Package arrived safe 'n' sound, and thank you!! I love this body - it's really weird and beautiful. It has the one feature I've been looking for - a neck thick enough for me to shave down for a custom fit to my @shecow Mara head. The color match is perfect (which I already knew since @queenofsquids sent me a Hujoo headcap ages ago, gotta return that 😬), the ABS is amazing and the hands are just gorgeous. Thank you for whittlin' down them titties! And for the clothes too! And all the extras (Gushers?!)!

Bonus: the Io body's got big feet, but they're still no match for those Unoss clodhoppers...
