A Midsummer Nightās Eve
sourires-et-masques:
Hannah was talking more and drinking less tonight. The flute of champagne held by her slender fingers had been half empty for some time but, she hadnāt made a move to finish it off as she moved from one group to the next. Conversations ranged from small talk to debates and Hannah flitted in and out of these groups with ease, a smile forever on her lips while bright eyes kept a check on her surroundings.
āA lovely evening, really. Itās such a wonderful and much needed break from everyday routine.ā
Any music and conversation paired together wasnāt the best pair for Kateās hearing loss. In almost any other situation, she would stick to the back corner of the room, but she was trying to get around the room and mingle a bit. She still felt a little out of her element, but considering her element was the complete opposite of a fancy gala, Kate was a little proud of herself.
āThe best part is the free food, if I must say, not necessarily the whole mingling thing.ā
