Michael leaned into the touch and smiled a little, “I haven’t looked at my phone since I got on my phone. But I’ve heard most of the things online are good. There’s nothing I wasn’t expecting.”

“i haven’t seen anything too bad either... some of the trashier tabloids are terrible but... thats to be expected.” she shrugged as she rested her head on his chest.

Michael had gotten off the plane, back to his apartment, and promptly collapsed into his bed. He didn’t sleep though. Now it was dark and he was sitting on his balcony. Michael heard the front door open and shut but he didn’t get up to check who it was. There were only a hand full of people the guard would let in. Even less with their own key. When he heard footsteps come up to the balcony door he turned slowly and offered a soft smile that was so much lighter and easier than one he had ever given before. And yet more tired as well. “Hey. Grab a seat.” @kathleentho

“i cannot tell you how proud i am of you...” she murmured as she wrapped her arms around his torso. “how have things been? i’ve been trying to avoid getting online...”

Michael tugged his fingers through his hair, “I know, that’s the problem.” He looked down at his hands in his lap and then back at Kathleen. “Any chance I can get you not to go through with it?” He was only half joking.

“i don’t know... i want to go through it... its the one thing i’m supposed to do...” she shrugged as she rested her head on his shoulder.

“my brother hasn’t changed though... he is still the same man. what would be hard about having a brother who loves who he loves? outside of the judgmental people.” she huffed softly.

“then prove to him you’re not. after all…. you’re old enough to be engaged.” he offered up before letting out a forced laugh. “you’re right. that is terrible.”

“yeah... but he acts like i’m not able to handle anything... which is the most frustrating things.... i’ve been through a lot. i can handle things...” she sighed softly, leaning back against her seat. “but its funny! so terrible its good!” she giggled once more.

“are you enjoying yourself here so far?” she asked, cocking her head a little, brushing some hair out of her face. “it’s really hard for me to get used to things here...”

“if i end up marrying andrew i won’t have much of a choice but to be in the middle of this michael...” kathleen groaned softly, rolling her eyes a little.

“I suppose we’ll have to face it sooner or later… seeing as we’re what potentially ties the two countries together.” He paused at her question. “Let’s see…. what do you call a fake noodle?”

“yeah... my father will most likely talk to you over me anyway... i’m just a little girl in his eyes.” she huffed, shrugging once more before really focusing on the joke. “an impasta!!” she giggled, covering her mouth slightly.

“oh yes... sorry.” kathleen chuckled softly, tucking some hair out of her face. “it’s not too far from here actually. when you leave the main entrance turn to the left and it’s about five blocks down. but you have to keep your eye out for it.”

“where?” bianca pushes her laptop to she side to ask whoever said that they found where the best cupcakes in the city are. she knows she looks a little manic, but desperate times call for desperate measures. she needs a cupcake fix. “¿donde esta la panaderia? where is this bakery and tienen lemon meringue? please tell me they have lemon meringue.”

“i don’t know if they have lemon meringue... i’m sure they do... they seemed to have a lot of baked things there... more than i was expecting.” she murmured softly with a smile on her face.

Michael was asleep on a couch in the lobby of the apartment building, his head was pillowed on his jacket and his feet still in boots tucked up beneath him. He woke when someone poked him, “What? What happened?”

kathleen giggled softly as she watched him sit up. “you fell asleep when i was telling you a story... am i really that boring?”

“i’m sort of used to it... my father doesn’t think that what he still calls grown up talk...” she rolled her eyes, huffing at the thought of her father. “okay... what do you call a fake noodle?” she asked, already trying to hold back her giggle.
