protocol after these olympic hockey games: losing teams exits first and goes through media, then to their locker room. winning team has to wait on the ice for the media line to clear before doing the same.

" In 61 games, the spunky and flashy but diminutive Barkey posted 22 goals and 37 assists for 59 points, third in scoring for the Knights, a perennial junior hockey powerhouse. The NHL Draft was next. But at the time of the event in June in Nashville, Legge was experiencing some health issues and couldn’t attend. Instead, a trip to the hospital from his home in Newmarket, Ontario, was inevitable. He wasn’t leaving the house until he heard his grandson’s name, though. “My dad said, ‘As soon as I see Denver get drafted, I’ll go to the hospital,’” Dallas Legge recalled. “So, he didn’t get drafted on Friday night (in the first round), so I had to stay (with him) overnight. Then the next day was Saturday, and he finally got drafted, and my dad said, ‘Now I can go to the hospital.’” "

Me just learning that Davo is the youngest of the Edmonton polycule. Ngl, it fits his loser vibe.
Cale has had enough of the shenanigans
So many of the celebrities I know (which is a wild thing cuz I was living under a rock 2 years ago) are having kids in the same year. The year of 2026 is going to WILD.

If the Cale Makar extension doesn't happen before July 22nd is over, im sorry but we need someone to become the Avs temporary new admin the next morning because im going to be smacking the Avs admin in the face with a frying pan tonight.
Cale Makar's extension taking forever, and Joe Sakic's cryptic amused "he'll be an avs forever" is making me go delusional and think that every day the idea that its going to be revealed that Joe had finally found himself a GM replacement and its somehow, ridiculously, Cale Makar.
i dont remember which video but it was quite recent where kimi used the word "carnage" which im pretty sure he adopted it from george lol because i dont think its a word that someone regularly uses especially if english isnt their first language but ive heard george used that word multiple times.
Looking at the NHL schedule for the upcoming season and DAMN all three my favourite/most interested (personally) NHL teams are all playing like one hour after another. AND ITS ALL AROUND 7PM-1AM (7pm isn't really bad, but that's my third favorite team, so I don't mind missing the Flyers LOL. THE AVS AND SHARKS CURSE YOUR LATE NIGHT GAMES AND ALWAYS STARTING AROUND THE SAME TIME.)
Denver: I mean, 52 is the number I got when I first came into my first camp with the Flyers and kind of just stuck with it throughout. And then this year when I was up with the team, Tricky, our equipment manager Rick Bronwell…
Ashlyn: The best.
Denver: Yeah, the best by far. He was in my ear a bit about the number and I think he knew I wasn't a huge fan of it either. And he liked 86 on me when I was in London and he was pushing for the change. And then I got here two weeks ago and he reminded me about it. Said, you ready to make the switch?
So I gave my parents a call like, what do you guys think? And my parents were like, it treated you well in London, so it's kind of hard not to go back to that. And I kind of made the decision from there and gave Trick the green light to switch.
Ashlyn: I love that. I can imagine when you're young in your career and if you don't like something, you probably just don't want to say anything. You don't want to be that guy.
Denver: Yeah, exactly. I was keeping my mouth shut.
I love the FLYERS but I love Denver Barkey a little more and you can bet your ass that I am always, in the deepest part of my heart, dreaming of the day that my fav team, the Avs, somehow manage to trick the Flyers into giving them Denver Barkey.
Thinking about how the Avs suck at developing young prospects but are (often) good at reforming bum players.
Like this is the funniest thing possible. putting aside the giroux of it all (for now) the ducks have said they will match any offer. so either we get leo carlsson or we have screwed over the anaheim ducks by forcing them to wayyy overpay on him because they played their hand too early. danny got everything he wanted out of the ducks and decided to burn his bridges behind him. life is so beautiful
Cale Makar not announcing his extention on July 1st really fucked over the rest of the GMs in the league because now the sky is the limit for all these defensemen LOL.
Joe Sakic, seeing the prices that GMs are now forking out for defensemen:
Denver Barkey tell me your ways, how do you bewitch all these people so fast, its as fascinating as much as its bewildering.
