// It’s been no secret that I am absolutely awful at keeping myself logged in here. When running my browsers for more than one account, I crash, I get frustrated and just don’t restart multiple accounts, and then I let things slide, and then I start to worry that it’s been so long that I can’t come back without being hated. Anxiety, oops. (Also just life in general, not enough time to log in and out of everything and not feel flustered.)

So in order to battle this issue, I have made the choice (which I hate to do for a few small  reasons, but it’s for the best) to move Kathryn to a side blog on my new main account.

I will be doing this over the weekend, starting tonight. I’ve already saved the sideblog, under a new url, if you are still interesting in interacting, please refollow there, she will be up and running this weekend. And threads started here can all be carried over if you wish. I’m so sorry to those that I had active things with that thought I was uninterested suddenly. https://katejaneway.tumblr.com/

And if you have any incidents, you’ll report those to me directly.” She’d come into the room, voice steady and immediate, giving him no time to speak before she did. Hands settled on hips, a small smirk on her mouth. “So what do you say Mr Garak, are you ready to discuss where you might fit best, or should I make a plan to schedule your meal deliveries for the next seventy five or so years?”

I don’t actually use the app except to stay logged in to my other roleplay account. I apologize. I have spent a lot of years on tumblr, and tumblr rp, but I use it on pc only. Julian Bashir and Kathryn Janeway switch favorite holoprograms, but each show’s holosuite plots stay the same.

i.e. on Voyager, Janeway almost exclusively plays the Jane Bond holoprogram; falls in love with a Bond Girl; M briefly comes to life and leaves the holosuite.

meanwhile on DS9, Bashir is spending all of his time as the governess for bratty children and Garak breaks into the holosuite to lecture him about superior Cardassian parenting techniques. the bodies of the ds9 staff are possessed by mean children. somehow bashir still shoots garak.

Archer gave a small smirk, keeping his eyes on the console in front of him to keep from looking at the other Captain. According to Daniels, he plays an important part for Earth and this “Federation.” But of course, that was too far into the future for him to know about yet. 

Though, Archer never would have guessed that people two hundred years from now would think of him as a “great captain.” He certainly didn’t feel like a great captain; much less one that would be in the history books for more than just commanding the first Warp 5 vessel. 

“I guess you have me at a disadvantage, then” Archer replied, glancing over to Janeway. “You know more about me than I know about you.”

Of course Daniels hadn’t given either much of an introduction. It was one of the things she’d been lucky enough about in the past when dealing with time and the agents of it. She’d hadn’t ever been at as much of a disadvantage as she was now. Though at least she had some idea of who he was through history. He really know next to nothing about her. And here he was supposed to blindly trust. She wasn’t so sure she would be able to do so in his position. She liked all the facts, and he could only have a few.

“Well I promised not to tell you about your future, but I suppose nobody ever said I couldn’t tell you about me.” She grinned and tilted her head slightly, nearly a shrug.  “Captain Kathryn Janeway, born and raised in Bloomington Indiana, scientist, explorer, not a half bad engineer. And for the last several years, I’ve been on a deep space exploration with my ship and crew, uncharted territories. And as our friend mentioned, not my first foray into fixing a timeline.  It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance Captain.”

Being dragged away from his Timeline. Again.

To fix something he shouldn’t have to fix. Again. 

But at least this time, Archer wasn’t alone. And his companion was a fellow Captain; of Starfleet, no less. She might have been from the future, but Archer liked to think he had a good judge of character. Captain Janeway wouldn’t be commanding her own ship if she wasn’t capable, right? 

Archer was the pilot between the two of them, and it didn’t take him that long to figure out the controls of this vessel. Daniels gave them the coordinates to the child’s ship, and after putting them into the computer, the shuttle went into warp. 

So now, all they had to do was wait. “We should reach the vessel in just a few minutes.” Archer stated, and he couldn’t help but feel a little awkward. If this were any other Starfleet captain, he would feel better about talking to them. But Janeway came from two hundred years in his future. There wasn’t a lot of discussion points that came to mind.

Quite frankly time travel would always be one of those things that gave Kathryn Janeway a headache. But somewhere along the way she’d learned that it was part of the job, even if it hadn’t been plainly stated at the start of her career. And even if it couldn’t be spoken of later. 

It wasn’t rare that she’d find wonder in a task or discovery, she was every inch a scientist and explorer, but rarely did she find it when it came to temporal assignments. Though she hadn’t expected to meet one of the great names in history as a recruited partner, and a little surprise that wasn’t a headache was nice. And she could trust him, not just because she had to, but because of who he was.

“At least we know when we’re supposed to be there. Takes all the guesswork out of that part of it.” Her fingers danced over the display from where she sat next to Archer, monitoring the required scans. Her brow furrowed. So it was just the two of them, and the task at hand. Simple. But when was anything like this ever simple.

“You know, I’ve always wanted to meet the great captains, I just never figured that I’d have the pleasure.” Perhaps it was more than she should have said, but surely he knew he held a place in history.
