Muriel'sĀ Mask
Man I loved the Muriel update.Ā
One of the things Iām so thrilled about is his new masquerade mask:
(Though really theres so much to be said about this comparison on the whole, but all in all it just makes me so happy.)
But the mask is what I am focusing on for now.Ā
First things first: the pattern design on the mask is carried over from his old mask and, considering this whole outfit was made while Muriel and MC are hunting Lucio with Morga, that in my opinion can only mean that Nadia consulted Asra on the mask (and perhaps other elements of the outfit as well) and the design was build off of what Asra could tell her about it. Or who knows, perhaps he went and found the mask to use as reference. This little aspect of the continuity between the designs is thus very sweet.Ā
The angle/shape of the eye holes in the new design no longer create the impression of a sad expression and thats a small detail that also delights me. As well as the obvious difference in colour and texture - going from a rough and dully coloured design to a lovely green, white and gold.Ā Ā
And the final thing I wanna point out is that the mask goes from a full mask that conceals his whole face from view, to a half mask which both reveals his expressions and also ties in very well with Murielās character development on a symbolic level (as do the rest of the design aspects).Ā
Muriel is really starting to come into his own and its wonderful to see, im so proud of him, and I am loving how well his masquerade mask conveys this.Ā

The Arcana hc: dancing
Sometime ago I imagined what dance style would suit some characters. Actually, I wanted to draw it, but it seems to last forever. So I made a simple line art instead.
Asra: swing or rockānāroll
Pure joy, easiness, a lot of jumps and supporting - swing is an explosion of feelings. And I think it suits Asra very much.
Julian: tango
Just no doubt. Passion, seduction, emotions, drama, tension - sounds like Julian, huh?
Muriel: waltz
Well, not that I think he really will dance. But IF itād happen, it may be waltz or simple slow dance. So that he wouldnāt have to jump or stand out among other dancers.

Lucio: private dance
Lap dance or something. I thought about Lucio for awhile and decided he could dance bachata or samba. Or a private dance - he would sit and watchā¦ but not for long, because, you know, he is terrible in waiting.
Iām just fucking diviner, you know.
I drew this a long time ago, all this shit about waltz and falling xD So now this is officially canon!

Temperance, Murielās book update
Well, here is something about this Murielās update. Again, Iām sorry for the mistakes.
Spoilers ahead!
I loved his route more than others, but not this chapter.Ā Iām seized by an ambivalent feeling, and thereāre many things that I donāt like here, too much, actually.
First, timeskip. ItĀ was done rude and carelessly. Picture-picture-picture, here we are, hello, Vesuvia. I was pretty sure, that it was Asra who brought them back home, through the fountain, as he did in his route. It would be much better, I think.
Then, I donāt like Asrian. I donāt want to offend ppl who like them, itās just my opinion based on mine experience - people who had such toxic relationship couldnāt just start over and have a healthy relarionship. Julian, maybe, but not Asra - not that Asra which devs showed us.
Then, romance scenes. Yes, bath and room scenes, I look at you. This is 14th book and weāre still marking time. Quick pecking, kisses to cheek - I get it, itās quite sweet and soft, but hey, we have an adult male here was finally able to open up. And he almost kissed MC in the last chapter (and it was most erotical scene in this game, screw you, Jaeger!). Let us see more... pasiion, idk. Muriel isnāt a fluffy chicken - he can do what he wants, like in the scene in the beginning of this chapter when he pulled MC from Lucio. Heās protective, heās soft, heās scared, heās gentle, but he can be decisive as we already saw, he can do things and he can speak things.
Then, and mostly, Natiqa. Actually I like her, but here... Itās a big and solid NO. I hate all this scene with chicken and Julian. Pranking Julian was fun in Asraās route, it was quite sweet and er... kind? But here - what the hell it was? An enormous chicken? Clucking Muriel? Suddenly dumbed Julian? What the hell is going on with you devs, why are you doing this to your characters? First it was courtiers in Pashaās route, now itās poor Julian - just why? This shit wasnāt in Murielās nature, and I felt myself ashamed during this scene, it was gross. I donāt know, maybe itās like language barrier, but in humor, like humor barrier. But I donāt understand such a humor, itās humiliating, not fun. There could be something else, there could be breakfast (they went to eat, do you remember?) there could be some dialogue between Muriel and MC, there could be something fun, bot not this. This was awful.
So what do I like?
Muriel, of course, i love him to the moon and back, and his interactions with MC was a pure silver (they would be a pure gold, if there would be more passion as i said).
The scene where MC talks to Asra and then Muriel shakes off snow from MCās knees is brilliant. I was swooning, really.
I liked ribbon in his hair (but how he did his hair again by himself?), and I didnāt like his masquerade outfit. It has beautiful colors, but it doesnāt suit him - all the style, I mean.
I donāt know, Iām a bit dissapointed. I donāt expect anymore from Portiaās route, but Murielās and Lucioās was good, especially Murielās. But not now. Last Lucioās book was boring, and this... idk what to feel. Donāt do this to your fans, devs, please.
But this - this was good. Really good. But continuing was... meh.
Ah, yes, Morgaās ghost is intriguing. Itās just me or this ghost really can be something different then it seems? Red eyes are suspicious.
