Wearing my little upcycled creation in the early spring weather :)   Already getting warm here, and many flowers are blooming a month earlier than last year.

My first upcycling project! I made this cute dress by murdering 3 thrifted mens shirts, he he.

I finished a patchwork mori dress!   I made this with some scraps :)   I also found a use for the little embroidered vest I made a while back.    Sewing mori is fun, he he.

Finished sewing this little green dress!   It’s comfy and warm.   (Again heavily inspired by some of Favorite-One’s dresses as you can see, he he)   The weather’s finally getting a bit chilly here in the south - couldn’t wait to get out my crocheted things :)   Hope you are having a nice winter!

My collar/shawl arrived from @katiemori ’s etsy shop! I absolutely love how it makes me feel like real forest prince!! If you’re deer kin they are still selling two more w/out the fawn spots :)

I made a Favorite-One style dress!   (Not as great as a real one from the Japanese brand, but definitely easier on the wallet)  It forced me to become familiar with techniques like lace inlay and pleating.   It’s mostly made of muslin with some calico fabric as accents.  All from Hobby Lobby.    Lookie I made a hair pin too!     (Also wearing some of my handmade faux fur collars )

I made a little vest out of upholstery fabric, and trimmed it with gauze scraps.   It’s reversible and has a natural/homespun fabric on the reverse!    I think it makes a cute little layering piece <3

Trying on my new creation in the woods :)  The dress is a self-drafted pattern and I tea-dyed the cotton beforehand.  The lighting really washed out the colors, but tea-dying makes the prettiest brown you ever saw!   (The lace sash is coffee-dyed, for an interesting comparison)  .   I also made the skirt underneath with some lovely embroidered eyelet cotton I’d been saving.   yay!

Found this really lovely homespun cotton and made a pretty skirt!   (there’s even a pocket for acorns)  <3 I still have more of the fabric so if you would like one too, please check out my etsy shop!

phew!  Completed this Dragon Age cover and managed a video in 96 degree (F) weather!  I also made a couple of new mori/natural kei clothes and am wearing them here (mainly the blue dress and the army green overdress)   Felt cute.   I will put up some stills tomorrow :)

I made a new skirt!   Lots of gathered ruffles and lace...would like to wear to a tea party soon!

Finished filming this little video in the forest!  An Irish session version of ‘Sera was Never’ from Dragon Age Inquisition.    Hope you enjoy!

The Menagerie started filming a new music video yesterday!  Here are some stills.  The forest was lovely and the birds were singing along!
