I forgot my regular glasses at home so i got stuck with these super nerdy ones i keep in my car. I never wear these to work but im blind enough that if im not wearing my contacts or glasses it causes problems at work. Only, now i feel like none of my coworkers can REALLY take me serious so i have spent most of shift making these side smiles because it makes me look super nerdy/looks like i dont care and putting off the "i dont care" vibe has been working for me so far this shift.

Here is the other song that i have had on repeat. It's my happy song right now. I actually think this is my most played song at the moment. The whistling at the very beginning is actually my alarm clock on my phone...wakes me up and im in a good mood! Kinda Rad! Hard to not tap your feet and just really be into living your life! It does make me wish there was someone i was actually in love with or whatever but in time you know? You cant rush perfection. it comes with time. and even with time things might be imperfect...you just dont rush it because then you get broken. Broken isnt worth it.

Music has been my outlet for my feelings for YEARS. I listen to music all the time. I wish that was an exageration but i mean, i even walk into work listening to music. Its just my thing. A lot has been going on in my life as of late (only good). and music has played an even bigger part in that then i ever imagined.

This has been my theme song as of late. Seriously, i listen to it just to get pumped or if i am feeling a bit down and need empowerment. Truth be told its probably ever women's theme song but i'm claming it as my own! Taking ownership of my life is something i've been way more into as of late! So this is MY theme song!

Never think about your vacation on an empty stomach because then you start to think about the amazing schnitzel you had in Germany and then suddenly you're sad that the closest thing to it we have is country fried steak and let me tell you... That's not schnitzel!!

SLOWLY getting back into the swing of things. You can't cold turkey a lot of habits you pick up after 5 weeks of always doing them. its going to take me a few seconds to get back into things. Baby steps. Glad that the post vacation blues have subsided though. they were real rough.

So, to preface this...

i'm actually not proud of myself for taking pictures of myself in the mirror...especially where i am flexing! But, its good to see the progress...

Getting ready for a weights session at the gym. Anyone who knows me knows just how much exactly i LOVE lifting!!! Anyways, got Blondie playing at home to get me all bouncy and ready to go! Such a great song!

Oh yeah...i guess the downside to playing 90 minutes of soccer in the scorching sun yesterday is that something like this happens...

i didn't even realize it was this bad until i got home!

Played soccer at the "Sandlot" today. The sandlot is a group of soccer specific fields that during college, high school, and club season is green and rich and perfect for playing soccer on, but during the off season...during the professional season...it becomes a group of fields comprised of sand and grass that is actually weeds. No professional team holds their practices on it (better fields in other places). You can't slide tackle on it for fear of ripping your legs to shreds. And there's no nets/fencing so your shots better be on frame or your running around collecting balls all day (which you have to do anyways). BUT...the sandlot has been the sight of some of the most epic soccer matches EVER! It's all about skill on the ball, out playing your opponent, and out muscling them on your feet. Today was no exception. Lots of NWSL folks home for Easter. Great battle. Stayed around after to work on my corners.....and my tan!!
