He has "girl-dad" energy; i hope his first child (in 10 years—he needs to give me plenty of movies first) is a girl.

I’m still not sure if it’s real or AI, since it’s coming from that account, but, holy cow. I needed the casting for The Winner like, yesterday.

People who complain about Tom Holland working with Nolan instead of Timothee on the Odyssey are silly. Timothee couldn’t have worked with Nolan even if he wanted to, because he had to shoot Dune 3.
Plus, there’s the question of whether he’d really want to work with Nolan. My impression of Nolan is that he’s a director that doesn’t welcome much input from his actors; while Timothee is an actor who likes working with collaborative directors who will let him improvise/change things if he feels it will make the overall movie better.
Finally, I’m looking forward to the Paul King movie because that movie deserves a trained dancer for the role, and King cast appropriately.
Anon,
I completely understand why you’d want to find excuses to explain why Timothée isn't in The Odyssey and won't be playing Fred Astaire.
However, let me explain why, despite the effort put into those theories, things don't quite add up...
I assume you haven't seen The Odyssey yet ? If you had, you would have seen for yourself that, aside from the role of Ulysses, the other parts, including Telemachus, are rather... brief.
And while Matt Damon spent time on set, the other stars certainly didn't.
Filming for their scenes was condensed into a short timeframe; in fact, some actors even said they didn't cross paths with their counterparts unless the scene required it.
Furthermore, if Tim was busy with Dune, what about Zendaya ?
I’d remind you that she juggled both shoots without any issues especially since the Dune shoot had been delayed... not to mention that Nolan and Villeneuve would surely have found a way to free up the few days Timothée needed.
As for the idea that Tim might not be particularly interested in working with Nolan again, I assume you're referring to Nolan's comment about Timothée's stubbornness during a retrospective of his career ?
Do you honestly think that if one of Hollywood's greatest directors called him to offer a role in a major upcoming project, the very director who gave him his start when he was still unknown, Tim would say no just because he thinks he knows better than the director how to make a movie ?
Tim is a consummate professional.
To imply he’d refuse to work with Nolan for that reason is tantamount to calling him a diva, which is absurd.
As for the role of Fred Astaire... Tim and Tom were apparently competing for it, and Tom was chosen.
Tom has a background as a dancer, so his casting is entirely justified.
I have nothing more to say except that this puts an end to the unfounded rumors that filming for Wonka 2 is scheduled to begin in August.
But what’s the point of all this?
Timothée hasn't filmed and isn't slated for any major projects.
Is it because he isn't a good actor? Absolutely not.
Is it because he doesn't fit the roles ? Maybe... or not.
Is it because the industry dislikes what Timothée has "become" and the image he has been doggedly trying to cultivate for over three years ? Undoubtedly.
Is it because the industry doesn't want to have to associate with a family it abhors ? I am convinced of that.
I think we aren't far from the truth… and it saddens me.
The obsession Timmy's fans have with Tom is... interesting and ridiculous.
1. Nolan had wanted to work with Tom for a long time.
2. So now Tom isn't qualified for Fred? Don't make me laugh; if there's one thing Tom does better than anyone, it's dance, after all, he played Billy Elliot when he was a pre-teen.
Nothing against the answer itself; it was just that anon who made me laugh.
Pining for both of them in my bed neowww

Tom when asked what he would if his wife forgot about him: She'd never forget me! 😁
First of all, they don't learn the language and ask dumb questions, it's embarrassing.
People making telemachus edits on tiktok with that terrible resolution (filmed on a phone) but they ate 🥴
WTF NO FUCKING WAY OH MY GODM MY CATTLE GOT TOGETHER.

"Bear is the villain, okay. There's some, like, grabby headlines out there where it's like "Michael Johnston doesn't agree that Bear's the villain." And I'm, like, NO WAY! Hold on a second, Bear is the vil-lain. He made his choice. Maybe he didn't know [the wish] would work but the choices he made after that, he clearly shows that he was incapable of thinking about anyone other than himself." — Michael Johnston (Bear) talking about Bear's character on The Brandon Davis Show!
