wordle in 1: joyless. it is statistically inevitable that your go-to starting word will be the solution one day, and this is no more of an accomplishment than running a random number generator once a day until it gives you "1"
wordle in 2: misleading. you may think that this is the highest achievement, but it suffers from the same disappointment of a lucky guess that wordle in 1 causes. your second guess is a strategic choice, but ending the game this early just isn't interesting
wordle in 3: the peak. your starting word gave you some information and then your second guess contextualized that information into a solvable position. your sharp intuition and restraint is what truly separates you as above average.
wordle in 4: statistically average, par for the course, the baseline against which all other wordles are compared.
wordle in 5: you're sweating. you made a mistake at some point, or your starting word was effectively useless, and it took an extra guess above average to close things out. wordle in 5 comes as a relief.
wordle in 6: crushing humiliation. you have technically succeeded but at what cost. your thirty square grid will stare back at you like barrels of a firing squad. a failure in all but name.
wordle failure: never your fault. what kind of stupid word even was that like come on
this is how new yorkers @ mamdani
do you think the people who would build a rent reducer 9000 are the same people who are building houses
the among us show being a total gorefest on par with john carpenter's the thing is a really fun choice
the among us show having a gay orgy in the middle of it is another really fun choice
realizing many people don't know about infinity train creator owen dennis' among us show from years ago, which has been trapped in unreleased limbo all this time and was just dumped on streaming this morning with no advertisement. they don't even know about its weirdly stacked cast
Not looking at the notes, time stamp, or googling it. Going to live the rest of my life assuming this is an April fools post. Good night!
I think if zoidberg moved into bikini bottom he wouldnt look out of place at all i wouldnt even notice him there
I like how polite he is because he isnt intruding but curious somewhat
yesterday my grandma found a penny on the floor and said to my grandpa “there’s that penny again, pa!” and i absolutely lost my mind because i couldn’t shelve the thought of a single panel Far Side comic of two old people on the front porch in the middle of nowhere and a giant penny angrily and inexplicably rolling through the wastes
“there’s that penny again, pa!”
this is hands down my single favorite post ive ever made that got notes
op has me blocked but this is so fucking real
I just learned that they filmed PHM in order, and I am weirdly excited about it. One of the things that frustrates me most about filmed mediums, specifically, is that it's SO much more difficult for actors to be in character, locked in, when they haven't experienced something yet. It also allows for less improvisation (something they held in high esteem for PHM and is yet another thing I love about this film) due to continuity problems. Filming it in order also meant that Ryan Gosling had already spent weeks filming alone before Rocky showed up, which he himself said in an interview made it so much easier to embody Ryland. "By the time Rocky shows up, I genuinely need a friend." Direct quote!!! The fact that James Ortiz and his team were in sync enough with the Rocky puppet to do improv, so much so that Ryan didn't feel like he was acting with a puppet. The fact that Gosling selected this film specifically, asked Chris and Phil to direct, and then committed SO HARD to the character. He was SO involved in making this movie and it shows! I thought I was over it but I am not. Film of the decade for me guys.
modern Snow White where instead of a magic mirror it's just an AI chatbot driving the stepmother insane because it's programmed to agree with her and confirm her fears
unexpectedly sexy part of the Sinners credits. we LOVE a thoroughly sourced film.
stop turning off reblogs dammit
Outstanding!
Reminds me of the time we dared a brick oven pizza restaurant to make a pizza with so much garlic we couldn't finish it.
Boy did they deliver. The pizza had (no exaggeration) a solid inch of chopped garlic on top. It was fucking delicious. Multiple times we spotted restaurant workers peeking at us from the kitchen, with an obvious "my god they're actually eating it!" energy.
Of course we left a massive tip. Leaving the place we felt like triumphant Olympians gold-medaling the Pizza Event.
Only one problem.
This was a lunch time experience, and we worked at a small software development firm and there was a scheduled all-hands meeting after lunch. Our supervisor (politely) asked us to leave the meeting because we reeked of garlic.
That sounds more like a solution than a problem to me, the meeting hater
Shhhhhh, don't tell Management.
Happy pride month to him
it is impossible to watch a movie. every night i think i want to watch a movie. no movie gets watched. because it's not possible
and yet they keep making movies with the hopes that one day humanity will discover a way to watch them. it's so inspiring
happy pebble pride
