Hopefully the cat grass and other vegetables will grow. I won’t know till a few weeks later.

Snow is finally here but not for long
My new addiction 🤤 I’m so happy that I can eat this everyday. Imagine what else I can make with my sourdough starter discards, but for now, this is satisfying.

Banana Walnut Bread
4-5 sliced banana
8 tbs butter
1/2 cup of organic raw sugar (or brown sugar, but I didn’t have any)
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup honey
2 large eggs
2 cups of flour (I used 1 cup 100% wheat flour and 1 cup all purpose flour)
1/2 cups of chopped walnuts (optional)
Baked at 350 for 50 minutes, then tent with aluminum foil for 10-15 minutes
Allow loaf to cool for 10 minutes before removing it from the pan. Store at room temperature, wrapped in plastic.
I started over with my sourdough starter experiment. One jar is all purpose flour with spring water, and the other jar is wheat flour but started with kombucha and I’ll feed it with spring water. The feeding schedule will be twice a day, one in the morning and one at night. Equal parts by weight.
Vermicelli w/vegan sausage, shrimp, onions and tomatoes. Squeeze lime over it and add additional seasoning for taste.
Third batch of kombucha I’ve made this year. 12 bags of organic black tea and 1 1/2 cup of organic cane sugar.
First time making a sourdough starter. First jar, 1/2 cup wheat flour and 1/2 cup kombucha. Second jar, 50g wheat flour and 50g kombucha. Feeding schedule is everyday, equal part.
Making a new batch of kombucha. I removed the old scoby and have a nice young scoby to work with.
