I don’t know who you are yet but I feel you constantly. When I’m sitting in the backseat of a car on a late night trip, I feel you next to me. Your hand in mine. I can feel your heat and your comfort. When I lay down at night to find sleep once again, I feel your energy all around me. I can feel your arms around my body, making me feel safe. I can almost hear you whisper “goodnight” in my ear. Your breath on the back of my neck. I can feel your heartbeat like my own personal lullaby, made only for me. On special nights, I can feel your connection to me so strong that I have to put on music to dance around too. It’s like your love is charging me up across a great distance. On those nights, I try my hardest to send you what you send me. My heart wants to leap out of my chest and run to you. I hope you can feel me too.
