Okay, maybe she’d been tempting fate a little by trying that move against her. Especially considering the extra effort she’d needed to even reach this amazon’s shoulders to try it. When Priscilla did it, though, she seemed like a natural at it, from the smile she gave to even the sound of her hand against the wall. Every piece added together perfectly, like a well-thought puzzle!

 Sherl had tried to warn her, but any and all attempts to reason with her had fallen on deaf ears. Not a moment was spared rushing out of her office, thundering onto her bike and sailing down the roads towards the seaside section of the city. Despite the sea-salted air filling her lungs with the refreshing energy only found at the beach, she found her spirits somewhat let down by the lack of a commotion beyond the construction still ongoing.

 “See? Totally normal, just like last time. Biggest mystery here’s why the ice cream costs so much.”

 “Not at all, Sherl; this mystery’s like the classic English toffee, something sweet and wholesome that hides something underneath that just sticks and won’t let go!” Katrielle beamed with total confidence in Sherl’s ability to understand strange analogies that she’d trained throughout his time at the Agency.

 “I think I’m hanging around with you too much. That almost made sense,” the dog sighed, as much as a dog could, as he resigned himself to his fate being wheeled around in the basket of the bike. Perhaps acting on instinct alone wasn’t a reliable option as a detective, but that had hardly stopped her before; she just had to dig a little.

 Luckily, someone else had come to investigate, and they looked like they had something good under their belt. Just as predicted!

 “Excuse meee! ♪” She began, pulling her notebook out of her bag and managing to artfully balance the bike with the support of her foot (which even Sherl had to admit was impressive multitasking), “I’m Katrielle Layton, a detective around here - I’ve had reports of strange things happening down here already, so I’d like to ask if you’ve seen anything suspicious around the place.”

 “Reports from who!?”
