Online store v.s Money v.s Audience
I’ve been doing some research for a low-cost, online store with a good search traffic, and I would like to share these information to all the artist out there in north america, even mainly I’m talking in CAD instead of USD. So please bare with me with it..haha...
I also break down some numbers of how much it cost and net you will be making on each online-store too. Yes, I know we most artist are suck at calculating, but sadly this is something we all needed to learn if you want to run a business and legally...lol I've only able to find 3 so far, I'll be adding more alone the way in the future. cheers!

• Sold auto-renew fee: $0.20/ea
• Transaction fee: 3.5%/ea
• Taxes: 12%/ea (if apply)

- Paypal fee: 2.9% + $0.30CAD /ea

$20 - ($0.40 -3.5% etsy) -12%(taxes, if apply) - (2.9%+0.30 paypal) = $20 - $0.70 - 18.40% = $15.60 (without shipping fee + packaging fee) $18.02 (without paying taxes)

• Payment method: Paypal & gift cards.
Personal note:. Very popular worldwide, well known so most customers don't mind buying things off, but there're a lot of comparators and the advertising fees are high, which make more listing prices high too.

• Marketplace: 10%/ea (EDIT: on top of shipping fees too)
(by using storenvy's search engine, each sold item will be taken 10%)

Personal note: website layouts are easy to customize, very common amount the artists, but without the marketplace search no one can find your items and no links are proved to your own store unless an extra add on.

Personal note: Ticail is very common / popular website amount the artists in Japan, easy to use, the layouts are not customizable, but they do have a few theme plate to choose from. Downside is the traffic flow isn't as good as the etsy or storyenvy, unless you already have a huge fans.
