Yuma Kagiyama’s 4Lo from his Instagram story, 6/14/21 (fully rotated!!!)
Any chance I can get gifs/pics/videos of skaters being bffs/having fun/being precious, clumsy, silly or just generally exuding positive energy? I know for a fact there are some amazing gif gods on here.

my life is so much better knowing that yuma and shoma have played among us together and shoma’s trying to get closer to the other junior skaters. shoma has graduated from embarrassed son to cool older brother.
“Unpopular opinion: Shoma and Yuma are both good in their own ways, but besides pretty great speed/ice coverage, I've never really found their skating to be similar--they don't jump, spin, or skate alike, even their personalities seem to be so different (Shoma strikes me as the introvert type, while Yuma strikes me as the ambitious type).”
why is this so accurate tho
On today’s episode of Chris Howarth being insensitive, his comments about Jun-hwan Cha during 4CC 2020 were out of line. Jun-hwan was wearing a TRADITIONAL KOREAN HAT in KOREA, and Chris said that “it looked like something from Macbeth”, “it’s not flattering him”, and when Jun-hwan finally took it off, he said “Good, looks like he finally got the message”. I beg your pardon, sir, even if you didn’t know that it was a traditional Korean hat, keep you thoughts to yourself. Jun-hwan is a treasure and a sweetheart and absolutely rocked that hat, and that was personal, rude, and disgusting. Oh, and that’s coming from the man who can’t pronounce an Asian name correctly but can easily say a Russian one. It’s Kajeeyama, not Kagiyama, but he can say Aleksa Rakic properly. Almost makes me want to listen to Tara and Johnny instead.
Chris Howarth: “It’s all to play for in the free between [Mozalev and Samsonov].”
Chris Howarth: “I think the battle for Gold proobably is gonna be between the two Russian boys, but it will be very, very interesting to see what happens for that bronze medal position.”
Chris Howarth: “The question on everyone’s lips is going to be: Can Daniil Samsonov keep his head together and put together a good free program?”
Chris Howarth: *mentions that Samsonov and Mozalev competed in Senior nationals, but not that Yuma did as well and won Bronze in Japan*
Chris Howarth: *says that Aleksa Rakic has given himself a shot at winning the bronze over Yuma, then repeatedly acts like it’s a fight for bronze between Yuma and Aleksa (even though Yuma has 3As and quads planned for the free and Aleksa has neither of those, and even though Yuma won gold over Aleksa with a margin of 34 points in Courchevel - did Chris not watch that?), doesn’t consider the possiblitly that Yuma could still win gold until he talks about Yuma’s planned program content*
Chris Howarth (during Mozalev’s skate): “He must have this in the bag now.”
Chris Howarth: “That I’m sure is enough to win [Mozalev] the gold medal. With the best will in the world, I cannot see Kagiyama doing anything about that.”
Chris Howarth: “Is that gonna put it completely out of reach for Kagiyama? He’s gonna have to skate out of his skin.”
…
Yuma Kagiyama, steppping onto the ice: I’m about to end this man’s whole career.
“"Oh look! Samsonov’s fabulous quad lutz and Mozalev’s perfect interpretation of the music! They’ve got nerves of steel! Yuma Kajeeyama? Who’s that?“ - Chris Howarth at the 2020 youth olympic games”
Yuzu best senpai! ❤️

remember the worlds press conference where yuma beat himself up? yeah, afterwards, yuzu pulled him away for a private conversation and said “if anything happens, i will protect you”.
my heart...
shoma, nathan, and jin skating to bon jovi while wearing leather is the most incredible thing ever.
my favorite story of all time is at 4cc when yuma didn’t think he was going to podium so his choreographer ran out and got him some random clothes for the exhibition and then his costumes weren’t ready for the nhk trophy so the poor choreographer had to go find more random clothes for him to wear.
