WIP: Finally revisiting a piece from a year ago. The initial sketch had another character, but because that story never happened, I updated it with a replacement to keep it canon. This piece is a direct homage to Leyendecker, taken from another piece. It's been teaching me a ton about a gouache brush set I've been wanting to test out for awhile. Hopefully I'll do it justice...

I follow your art blog, and I remember seeing some koschei art a while ago, the blue 'death is calling, it can kiss my ass' one, or something like that. If it's not too much to ask, could you show a step by step process of how you made it? I love the texture and especially the colours of that one in particular.

Thank you! I don't have any process from this drawing, sorry OTL But today I made a speedpaint test of another piece that has similar key colors and textures and the same brushes were used. The video is super shitty but maaaayyyybe it will help you somehow ^^

Genuinely just a good man. Wife adopts teenage witch that needs a place to stay in the city? Sure. Even though you got a kid on the way? That’s fine. Cat too? Love cats.

My favorite moment with him is when he goes to get some prepped baking sheets and he does this fancy twirl with them in front of Jiji. Like, there’s no other people in the room, he does this to impress a cat.

I don’t think he ever says more than a whole word the entire movie, and I still love him more than most Disney princes based on this one moment alone.

And the part where he wanted to surprise Kiki by making that beautiful elaborate sign OUT OF BREAD to advertise her business and he was all anxious for her to get home and see it

But then when he sees her coming he gets all bashful and runs away 😭
