After the long hiatus of a Lupe album since "Food and Liquor II" dropped, Mr. Fiasco graces our ears with his latest project. The lyrical mastery on this album was more than anything that can be described. This album is the new age sophomore album "The Cool". While being known to promote the betterment of hip-hop first, Lupe puts that in the backseat and raps for rap's sake. With his deep insight into the world and it's issues, he spills all his wordplay to this wonderful concoction into the second track "Mural". If you need any more proof that this is that album after you listen to that song, the album will give you what you need. However, with nine minutes on his back with no hook and the the cleverest of the wordplay, Lupe has snatched the hip-hop game off it's bed to wake it up. The deepness of every track and interlude put into this album speaks volumes to the mind and soul. This album is worth the time to be in your own musical library. A wonderful start to the new year if I do say so myself.
