So I've had this WIP for a while and since I've found no motivation to draw at all nor liking what I am drawing lately, I decided to try to work on this wip for the anniversary and, honestly? It turned out better than I thought. I think I finally found a nurse design for Shinigami that I'm satisfied with... x-x;
I referenced this image from an old manga series I loved as a middle schooler and I thought it would be a fun idea to draw it out as GOD Shinigami. Holding her tiny little sick master...uh-oh.... Looks like he's in HER hands now... 😈 (god knows where she'll stick that thing, poor yuma... X'D)
But yeah I just wanted to contribute something for today. And to thank the community for being so chill and kind to me. Even if I'm a bit distant atm, I always know this community will always let me in and I wouldn't be where I am today without this game and all of these wonderful people...💗

Hi everyone! Sorry for being away for so long, but my motivation has been very low as of late... I just cannot find it in me to create as much as I used to anymore.
So I decided to try to make some art on a collab project that I've kept hidden since 2024. Yep, all the way back in late 2024.
As I've said before, I'm very self conscious about this au of mine. So if I make anything about it, I usually keep it to myself. But Kazin and I made two fanfics about it and they were so so long... XD It made me more and more nervous to share them...
But the more I waited the more guilt I felt, I hope some good can come from it xD So I love the idea of family caring for each other, specifically a child being cared for by a parent and then the child caring for the parent. So I did it with these two.
Kazin actually did a majority of the base writing, I just added more and edited it to make it to make it pop more. SO if anything, this is a collab project where she wrote the story and I made the illustrations. But Kazin said that since it was my AU, I could share the fics on my page, especially since they are sickfics. And I'm better at organizing chapters and whatnot... (plus AO3 does allow collaboration writers so its featured on both their pages anyway lol) But just know these fics were written by us both! I refuse to take all the credit just because its my AU XD
Anyway yeah, sadly I've gotten busy with other matters, and its made me feel less inspiration to create as much for here anymore... I'm still holding onto the fandom for dear life, because it truly means so much to me, and the fact the fandom is so chill and kind... It will always have a place in my heart...
So this may be my last creation for a while. Unless I feel motivated one day, but yeah... Thanks for being so awesome Raincode community! I hope you enjoy these fluffy and long stories and these arts (if the au doesn't bother you ofc XD)

I tried to make Yuma and Makoto in my Hello Kitty Dream Village game in these mirror mannequins I have. I just made a cute nurse themed room with the newest gacha bag and decided it was incomplete without my precious twin whumpees as patients :3
They even have their respective sanrio characters tending to them 💙💜 I tried being as accurate as I could with the items i had.
I may not be a heavy shipper with media, but I admit these two are very cute x3

Rather than take Yuma back to the agency, Desuhiko thought it would be too far and too daunting for the ailing trainee to trek back through the hot stuffy underground. So he takes him back to his room in the Sun and Moon hotel instead.
And not even Desuhiko can resist Yuma’s cuteness when he’s in the weakest state possible... 🤭 (me too buddy) Just playing with effects and emotions... Get shoujou'd idiot >:D
No clue what the inside of the hotel rooms look like, so I tried matching the colors of the lobby. Orange walls and I feel like the beds would have red colored bedding. Warm colors to contrast the cool rainy atmosphere of Kanai Ward.
I just felt like drawing these two. They do seem to be popular in the community, so I hope you enjoy the softness and silliness! 💜💛

Yakou Fathero anyone? :3 Man, I miss these two… So I dedicated my whole day to drawing them c: This pose took me so long to get right… But I’m fairly satisfied with the result! Also I attempted a detailed background. I felt extra motivated today!✨
Yuma is completely soaked from being out in the rain sadly catching a pretty nasty fever. Shivering from the cold, he desperately seeks warmth so he leans into Yakou’s frame while the chief detective takes the rookie’s temperature. Yakou can’t help but support him as they look at the device together. And…it doesn’t look good 💦

I genuinely love the idea of outsiders in the city not being used to the rain, so if they’re weak, they fall sick more easily. And I strongly believe Yakou would take good care of his detectives if anything happened to them, especially Yuma since they’re submates. He’s tried to take responsibility for him like twice in canon… xD
Not sure why I made them sit on the floor rather than the sofa, but it still works. I swear I draw this background scene every year… xD How many times have I drawn this scene now? I know it’s boring, but that is where he sleeps lmao. (also nah I wasn’t gonna draw the books on that shelf, fuck that I got tired lol)
I definitely do want to get better at drawing Yakou but it’s still hard… x’D I swear between him and Makoto I cannot draw suits or coats right… >_> But he is my prime caretaker for Yuma. Its too easy to see him looking after him as a good chief would c: They’re such a cute mentor and rookie and/or father and son pair 💜💙
They were my first ever whumpee and caretaker pair on this platform~ So here’s to them! :3
