Another poem

I've been thinking about stay at home parents mostly moms, and how when they want to leave the other parent or even just their partner they don't have any skills to start working, because taking care of the house isn't seen as a real job, but also they are then left without an income. Then I watched an episode of Reba and watched her try to get one, so here's a poem about it:

Love how tumblr has its own folk stories. Yeah the God of Arepo we’ve all heard the story and we all still cry about it. Yeah that one about the woman locked up for centuries finally getting free. That one about the witch who would marry anyone who could get her house key from her cat and it’s revealed she IS the cat after the narrator befriends the cat.

The Current Temperature

The morning starts off cold enough to keep me bundled up in bed but the afternoon brings a heat that has me wishing for days of napping outside and the night brings a chill that makes me ache for the warmth of before.

The wind comes in with a chill and the sky grows darker as the monsters come out to play. They wait in the shadows to haunt your nightmares and creep around to give a fright until the sun comes out to shine a light. I’m doing a horror contest, if you want to check it out and vote for me!

Before Being Seen as the Villain

There are rules we are meant to follow so that we may be honored among the greats but those rules mean letting you die so that the world can thrive. If I refuse to follow the rules I will never be seen as a hero but if I do, I lose you. So I think, just this once, the rules can be ignored and I can still be seen as great and keep you at my side.

The Hero Leaves the Master

The Master told me to venture forth but did not tell me to where so I explored the world unknown to me and left the world of rules behind to find greatness and become known. He did not tell me how but I suppose I will find a way anyhow.

I wish you would bruise me where the pain wouldn’t linger so that in the moments after when you shower me with love I could forget the past until it comes back to bruise me again.

Watching the Ships

There are ships sailing out in the night But I am not on any of them. Those ships are not meant for people like me so instead I will stand and watch them as I dream of what I really want instead.
