I recently read the draft script for The Collector and The Collection (back when it was called The Midnight Man) and I just wanted to share my favorite moments.
1. Asa bringing ants into their homes and having them trail out the trunk.
2. Arkin’s description. (Blue collar to the core is insane.)
3. Asa smiling and the fact they mention Arkin amuses him.
4. The wasp metaphor???
5. Again, the wasp metaphor??? Arkin and Asa being the roach and the wasp.
6. This whole scene with “Zack” and that beautifully written quote?? Not to mention Asa only pinning things he finds beautiful or worthy enough for his collection.
7. I just thought it was silly he shook his head and did a little wave before leaving.
8. The fact Asa Emory isn’t even ASA EMORY. His name is Arthur Cisco not only that but he’s DR. Arthur Cisco.
9. We were robbed of more voice lines out of him and not only that but a face reveal (only a description :( )
10. Again robbed of more voice lines and what could have been a cool scene of him screaming out.

Bo and Vince are equally traumatized and equally fucked up in different ways.
Bo never received love or affection without the threat of what would happen if he wasn't good, any negativity was met with harsh punishment and he clearly was troubled at a young age with no help, called a monster as a tiny boy, has physical scars from it he has to see daily, still seems to hold his mother in good regards (Especially script Bo) but subconsciously takes his mommy issues and need for control out on bound women to both re-live his childhood trauma and to possibly get both love and revenge on his mother through women (No excuse obvi just pointing it out WHY I think he does it).
Vincent was encouraged to cover his face and wear a mask even at home, his deformed face was the main focus and his parent's did nothing to make him feel like he deserved normalcy (Mama said your talent would make up for what God took from you), watched his brother be abused and probably had Bo resenting him for it and he might resent Bo for being the problem child ruining their childhood, was groomed to follow in his mother's footsteps, has little to no communication to anyone but Bo (Maybe Lester) and is probably a perfectionist that needs control as well from the pressure of being the Golden Child to his Mother and was the one that waxed her corpse.
So idk WHY we all think Bo was the only one that could've started the town's wax corpse thing??? Yeah he is an arrogant blow hole that loves manipulating people but the entire movie he might as well be the ringleader that's just talking to the audience and suckering people in but Vincent is the one really doing most of the heavy lifting behind the scenes. Yes, that could be Bo manipulating him and making him do it all or it could be them as a team (I vote this one) and Bo is just obviously more inviting or it could be Vincent doing it all and Bo is just helping to reap the rewards of helpless women at his disposal and getting out pent up rage on people.
It could've been Bo looking for an opportunity to finally take out his sadistic rage
It could've been Vincent who did it in severe grief over his Mother aka the Handler that made him codependent on her and is just as twisted as his twin
IT COULD'VE BEEN TRUDY/THEIR MOTHER! Just because Bo lied to Carly; who says he's lying to Vince??? Seriously, Trudy was a shitty Mom and a bit nuts herself if you ask me strapping their fucking child down till he bleeds or making their kid a wax mask to cover their face even at home so who is to say in her final years she wasn't the one that did this??? (Not counting the script that heavily hints Bo killed both his parents after years of abuse but still didn't say WHO waxed the corpses first)
I accept all HC but it would not shock me if Bo convinced Vincent to do it after preserving Trudy...If Trudy did it and they really are trying to make their Mother proud...Or if Vincent in his grief waxed Trudy's body in memory of her but also waxed a person as revenge/spite and Bo being the guy he is went with it.
They’re both fucked up in their own ways and we can also add in Lester!
The whole family is messed up! They all literally kill anyone they come across and then give them to Vincent to make into wax corpse figures!
People really be forgetting that Vincent decapitated someone with some pruning shears😭
Lester I think is just doing whatever and I kinda HC that there’s about a 7-8 year age difference between Lester and the twins-so the twins probably half raised Lester themselves!
(sorry for the long rant but you are the only one I've seen bring up Lester in all this!)
No fr bc just bc we don't see Lester kill on screen...HE STILL LURED PPL THERE. He is a grown man with a truck and *presumably* doesn't even live with the twins; there is no reason for him to help unless he is in on it too.
How do we know he hasn't killed anyone? Maybe he thought Bo and Vince had it handled that night or he had other things going on but any other time he'd be killing with them? WE DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE HE STAYS. We don't know how much he helps his brothers either from the killing to even torture and even if he's a perv with women like Bo is. We know THE LEAST about Lester.
Man's made a Dad joke about a hand and everyone made him a precious bean 4life.
(I mean...Guilty but I also accept him being screwed up too! Duality exists)
Because not only does he get the least screen time so we can only guess based on how he acted with them in the truck (That's like judging Bo based on how he acted before we see Wade killed when he was FAKING HOSPITALITY to lure them in.) but from what we do see he oggles at Carly changing with a perverted smile on his face, makes her uncomfortable with how he keeps looking and smiling at her while driving (Could be him just awkwardly smiling cause he's a bit socially awkward or even him making her uncomfortable on purpose), has a knife obsession, talks in detail about how to cut up a body animal or not and had this look when they pissed him off...Like is he just mad or is the mask dropping like it did with Bo, ya know?
We don't know much about him but it just dumbfounds me how the fandom thinks he's innocent, Vince is manipulated and incapable of thinking for himself and Bo is the mastermind forcing these two grown men to go along with this when he's arguable the most incompetent one with his piss poor aim and rinky dink knife
I even saw a bunch of ppl on youtube say "Oh if Carly wasn't rude he would've saved them and not let them be killed"
...WHAT
Uuhh...He was driving them to Bo before he even got them in the truck????
PLEASE can this fandom stop making Bo the only villian based only on Carly's pov who only had to fight Bo the entire time and tried gaslighting Vincent to save her ass over a 1 minute convo between Bo and Vince when Bo just vomited in the sink from pain and blood loss and based on news articles she read for 30 seconds 😪
Something that’s long been a frustration for me when talking to normies is their innate refusal to understand why people want the Predator to be the hero, the good guy.
It’s not even that I want to sex them up, but to be realized as actual individuals with lives and not some evil slasher alien.
They’re supposedly a tradition, honor based species, so it makes perfect sense, at least to me, that we should see them as having autonomy and agency. I want to see them truly fleshed out.
Many in the fandom outside our humble horny space on Tumblr just see them as purely slashers who only want to put your head on a pike and that’s it. That’s all there is to them to those folks. They see them as these aliens who hunt humans occasionally.
It’s so frustrating.
I’m thankful to our little fanfic community for fully realizing Yautja and the different interpretations of them. We at least have imagination here. Can’t say the same for the normie Predator fans, sadly.
I hate the fake fans of the Predator movie franchise
It seems that some people will not like Predator Badlands because he is simply not the villain of this movie which proves these "fans" only like the franchise because of them killing Generic everyone and without feelings, I hate these "veteran" fans who have never read or delved beyond the movies are not real predator fans this movies, which reinforces in that previous post of people mischaracterizing the yautjas and culture of them I hate this old fans of the franchise don't delve into anything about it and still complain about the soft predators and not bloodthirsty, I see this the happens in Godzilla when the era Mines One the people complain from godzilla not be 100% villain is never seen the old movies that Godzilla he is not brute and cruel, please spread the word to these old fans That they are wrong and have closed minds.
