Evidence of them being scam accounts:

Stories are near if not 100% identical. (hint: mother has LS)

They repeatedly change their 'real name' (as seen below.)

Accounts reported to also be run by this scammer: fuzzychildlight now qualitycherryblossombluebird deliciouslightpenguin now weepingwerewolfdestiny also maximumdinosaurbouquet (12/2/24) magnificentdragonengineer (blog is still up but the post is gone)

Reason(s) why it is to be believed this same scammer is running @deliciouslightpenguin>weepingwerewolfdestiny: -Claims to need Insulin. -Claims to be a Palestinian from Gaza. -'Vetted and verified' but will not say by who. -And, going through various reblogs every week up until their original posting date, you'll notice that- like the image above with the accounts listed above, they have a very bad habit of changing their name and using the name Alfaat.

These people are using the Gaza and Palestine crises as a means to make money for their own personal gain. It makes me sick.

How and Why this is a scam account:

It was originally an account used to run the Eunice magwerl diabetes scam and was repurposed for a 'different/new' scam, as seen below:

It's a mirror account, likely in the case the first one gets banned.

How strangetrashpost is involved:

Same as above. Another duplicate so they can shill the same scam to multiple people.

Do not donate to these people.

Report them if they send you a message asking for donations.

Before donating to some random person's GFM please ask yourself this: 1) Who is vetting these? do you know this person? 2) What is their vetting process? Are they transparent about this process? 3) What is the process to get these funds to the person in need? If you can't answer any of these questions, save your money or send it to a recognized charity. The messages I receive in my inbox (daily) are about sick or injured kids who need immediate medical care. GFM is not giving you the money immediately. So we have a strike one on the transparency here, and a deliberate omission. And since GFM is blocked in the country affected, these GFM's are organized by someone in the US, Canada, or Europe. Were these people vetted? Because now you have a situation with a third party who, by the way, is never mentioned in these posts. Another suspicious omission. The supposed "vetters" are not relaying this information to you either. Why? Here's something important to remember: Anyone can steal or stage photos of sick adults or children. This happens more often than you think. Scammers rely on your lack of knowledge regarding things like medical issues, how GFM works, or what is currently happening on the ground. Anyone can change their voice using modulators, play sounds or change video to seem believable. A reverse Google image search is not going to cut it for "vetting" people. A lot of these scams use AI. some even use it on their account headers. Some of these scams follow the same process as a pig butchering scam. That's why a lot of people who are victims of these scams, will vouch for the scammer and share their GFM link. It doesn't help that voicing concern over these, will get people accusing you of being supportive of some of the worst things humanity is capable of. My point in making this post is to get money to the right resources for people in need...not random people who spam emojis in everyone's inbox. Unfortunately, the damage is already done. Every sheltered soft-hearted person on this site has shared every link that ends up in their inbox.

Please just give your money to a charity. These are organizations with the resources to directly help people.

I've seen a couple people reblog this, but their accounts are filled with these scams anyways. I just want to be abundantly clear here. Being "vetted" doesn't mean anything, at all. "Vetters" are not transparent about their process. "Vetters" have been caught "vetting" AI bots, porn bots, altered images, blatant antis/emitism, and scams.

You can care about Pales/tine without giving your money to a scammer. "Well I don't care if it's a scammer" you say. Ok cool. I know we're in a post-truth society but you need to stop fucking saying you care about gen/ocide, if you're not giving your money to the right people, and you don't care who gets it.

Thinking this morning about the twitter thread where someone said "we need more queer spaces that don't revolve around alcohol and aren't super loud, it's impossible to make new friends" and when people pointed out that it's actually really possible to make new adult friends, and suggested a local movie night, they said they wanted something more quiet. And when someone suggested that there are actually loads of shared communities around various hobbies that are great ways to meet friends and learn to do something new, they said "You people are misunderstanding me, I don't want to spend money, I don't want it to be loud, I don't want to be around alcohol, I don't want to go to burlesque or drag shows, and I don't want to have to learn a new hobby, I just want to meet new people"

Like, what the fuck did they think community is? How the fuck do you propose meeting people? I'm all for inclusive resources but at some point, as an adult, you have to realize that if you want certain things in your life to change, you have to be the one to make changes. If you want to go out and make more friends, you have to be willing to GO OUT AND MAKE MORE FRIENDS. You have to go where the people currently are.

You have to learn a new hobby and go play card games with the trans women and enbies, or put up with some noise and go watch films, or go play pool in the dive bar with the dykes in the dark back corner, or SOMETHING. But at some point you have to say, "the problem is my unwillingness to try to adapt to fit into a community, rather than expect a whole community to be built on me without any effort from me."

Queer spaces that already do exist have a hard enough time staying open, you can't expect MORE and MORE to be made unless YOU want to go make one and see for yourself how hard it is.

If you want a community, you need to be willing to participate in SOMETHING.
