Since you talked about your recent Color Ladaearn set, would you share about your Uranus2324 post?

sure! tbh for that one i had less of a vision than my ladaearn set. usually with lyric sets i try my best to pick scenes that i think match the lyrics really well. for this one i feel like i more so just picked scenes i liked. the only things i knew i’d use before making it was the final shot of the movie (last gif) and their spider-man kiss (i love peter & mj so i love when other ships i love have their own version of the upside down kiss).

the first gif really came together cause as i was rewatching the movie i really liked the first time lin takes kath’s photo. my fav kind of shot in movies is a focus change like that so i built the gifset on that. originally i wanted to do big square gifs but that didn’t allow for enough frames for that scene so i changed it. then to match the lyrics i paired it with the other scenes/timelines where she took her photo. and this held me up the most because i didn’t know how i wanted to layer the gifs. ultimately went with the square frames instead of blending.

on the upside down kiss gif i paired it with their pinky promise where they make a heart with their hands just cause i thought it was cute. also felt like the promise just went with “I’d wait for your love” and the upside down kiss was something i always intended to use as aforementioned. on the other wait for your love gif i just chose cute scenes i personally liked too upon rewatching. blending that one was a bit of a challenge but i eventually got it to work. (tbh i am very new to blending so kudos to whoever does it often cause i find it quite challenging).

here or on the other side gif is self explanatory since it shows like 3 of their timelines at once. actually, this was also a shot i’d knew i would use before making it too.

and then for all the die in your arms gifs i actually misremembered the movie and thought we had a scene where lin died in kath’s arms but alas 😭 upon my rewatch i actually almost scrapped the whole gifset because i wasn’t sure how to make it work. even though i think it’s the weakest gif in terms of blending i just went for the phone call scene/where you can see the necklace floating in the ocean. and well kath’s scenes fit the lyrics more literally so that was easy enough to pair.

definitely a set that came together the more i worked on it and from just jumping right in to work on it instead of planning. most gifsets i plan in my head & have the scenes picked out beforehand. but this one i was honestly picking scenes & screencapping gif by gif 😂
