I know now that we never get over great losses; we absorb them, and they carve us into different, often kinder, creatures.

Patience is of two types: enduring what you hate and abstaining from what you love.
Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (ع), Ghurar al-Hikam, Patience And the Patient: # 9 (via the-striving-soul)
أن يكون لطيف مع قلوب البشر، لأنه عندما يضطرون إلى شيء، ويذهبون أعمى. Be gentle with human hearts, for when they are forced into something, they go blind.

My brother is starting his first round of chemotherapy on the first day or Ramadan. Kindly keep him in your prayers 🌹
My brother is still going under chemotherapy. Please remember him in your prayers on these last 10 days of this holy month. May Allah reward you all immensely for your sincerity and kindness 🌹
You see some people who are so perfect in eloquence that they don’t err in the use of a single letter, while their hearts are darker than a gloomy night, and there are some people who cannot express what is in their hearts, yet their hearts are radiant like a lamp.
Imam Jaffar al-Sadiq (a) Al-Kafi, vol. ii, p. 422, hadith 1. (via a-servant)
Hi, I'm just curios don't take it wrong. But why do you guys always mourn each year for the tragedy of Karbala? I mean what's done, is done
﷽
The same question was asked to Imam Zainul Abideen, the son of Sayyed Al-Shohada , Imam Hussain (AS).
The Imam (AS) replied: ‘’Prophet Jacob (AS) had twelve sons; however, when Allah took away one of them, grief overtook him so much that his hair was whitened, his back was bent, and he lost his vision due to excessive crying, even though his son was actually alive. But I witnessed with my own eyes how my father, my brother, and seventeen of my family members were killed. So how do you expect my sadness to be relieved or my lamentation to be over?’’
Rain
The rain has come. I stare at the vastness of the lands as my thoughts rise above into the stormy clouds. My mouth is rendered lifeless, yet my mind is restless. My heart cries out a thousand cries of longing and separation. Be calm, O’ heart, your cries will rise up into the skies. To Him. To the One whose answer you seek. To the One who can heal you. To the One whose touch you yearn for. He hears all, and sees all. Fear not, you are not alone. Laugh oh heart, though you’ve turned your gardens into deserts of sorrow and pain, laugh. Laugh when you see this rain, let it touch you and hold onto it and wait for the flowers of love to bloom once more. Wait for that meeting, for that glimpse, for that whisper. Your tears are are the road, they will lead you there to the One who seeks you, whose words you follow. Close your eyes, let go of your senses and follow the answer to the call.
And when My servants ask you, concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided.
