INDEFINITE HIATUS // ACTIVE AT ORIGCMIBIRD

PSA: WHILE THIS BLOG IS ON PERMANENT HIATUS, I WOULD LIKE TO REMIND EVERYONE that while I am done roleplaying Kubo’s pkmn au on this blog, I will be continuing his plotline and story on places like discord and google docs. I already have a server up and running where I will be primarily using him.

I may also merge his au back onto his main blog, where I will be roleplaying with other pkmn aus and selectively with pokemon blogs. Frankly however, I need to roleplay in an environment that is more contained and controlled than the pokemon rpc on the tumblr platform. You guys are all a wonderful group, but honestly I am drained of how easily and uncontrollably something as small as the roleplay between me, Hearty and Hal can shake the community and make it the primary focus of their own muses’ interactions, even when from a storytelling and writing standpoint, they shouldn’t be and/or shouldn’t know without learning properly from the correct muses. I appreciate that you guys are interested and want to get involved, but when it’s something that was supposed to be minor versus a full-blown event, it honestly feels draining to receive so much attention, especially interactions and anons that can send these things into a downward, negative spiral for our muses. To put it bluntly, this isn’t an opportunity for folks outside of a roleplay to get high off angst guys. It’s distracting and throws things off track for me. I love you guys, but as I leave the active tumblr pokemon rpc behind I leave you guys with this advice: DON’T BE AFRAID TO SET BOUNDARIES, AND PLEASE RESPECT OTHERS’ BOUNDARIES. If someone’s throwing an event and is eagerly welcoming anyone to participate, then I say go for it, but please respect when something is supposed to be a contained thing between a small group of people, whether for the development of a story, their muses, or their muses relationships.

I wish you guys luck, and if you’re still eager to interact with me, you can IM ME AT @ORIGCMIBIRD. Please hmu there with your discord because I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK TO THIS BLOG. If I ever do, it won’t be for a long hecckin while.

SO I HAVE A DISCORD SERVER UP AND RUNNING where I plan on roleplaying Kubo’s pkmn au, and I’m selectively accepting interested folks who would be down to continue rping with me there. There is only one special rule that I am asking of you if you are interested, and that goes for if you active in the pokemon rpc: please do not bring up what is going on on the dashboard, whether it be events, crack, something in the community, or interactions between muses. I ask this only because I am trying to avoid being drawn or sucked back in to the tumblr side of the pokemon roleplay community for the sake of my own health.

     I’M GONNA ADD ON TO WHAT I SAID AS I CHECK OUT. If you are interested in getting in on some IC stuff that happened between others’ characters? That’s great! But unless it is an open event and the muns have openly stated that anyone is free to join, PLEASE COME TO THE PERSONS INVOLVED AND ASK FIRST! Ask if they are comfortable with your muse finding out, if there is no obvious way for them to do so ( perhaps they live together, or run a lifestyle that makes them see one another every day? ) And even if they can easily find out, it doesn’t hurt to ask, just to be sure that the muns are comfortable with another person joining in or in case there are certain ingame circumstances that would prevent them from doing so!

      PLEASE DO NOT USE ‘A LITTLE BIRDIE TOLD ME’ AS A REASON TO GET INVOLVED! I’ve noticed this issue a lot in this community, its that a lot of people use anon to spread the word about something that happened in a roleplay, and the muses who are told, in turn, use that as a reason to be informed. EVEN IF YOUR MUSE IS TOLD SOMETHING BY AN ANON, DO NOT USE THIS AS A REASON TO GET INVOLVED WITHOUT AT LEAST APPROACHING THE OTHER MUSES’ MUNS FIRST!

      We are here to have fun and enjoy ourselves. However, I’ve noticed that this community often falls prey to a lack of OOC communication and overloading. IF YOU WANT YOUR MUSE TO GET INVOLVED IN SOMETHING, PLEASE COMMUNICATE WITH THE OTHER MUSE’S MUN TO ENSURE THAT THEY ARE COMFORTABLE WITH IT!        Lastly, please be sure to ask WHAT they are comfortable with. Sometimes, while a mun might want to more interaction, they may not specifically want a particular theme (angst, fluff, romance, etc.) If you are sending a particular ask to someone, especially if it’s a heavy theme, PLEASE BE SURE TO ASK THE MUN IF THEY ARE OKAY WITH IT!

      COMMUNICATION IS KEY, GUYS. It helps to create an environment that is less stressful for all of us. I know that some of you are shy when it comes to talking to others, but just stopping by in someone’s IM to ask “hey, is this okay?” is a big help to the community, not just from the mun’s standpoint but from a literature standpoint as well.

I think I’ve ultimately decided to put Kubo’s pkmn au blog on an indefinite hiatus, and focus on roleplaying him on discord. TBH I’ve just been feeling kind of iffy about this blog in general lately. There are developments, plot ideas, and relationships I want to focus on building, and I just don’t think that can be easily accomplished here. I’ve already been pretty wary since autumn, and this just isn’t helping. It has been a genuinely quiet night, and most of the time, ghosts will use this opportunity to slip in and spook the poor children sleeping in a dimly lit room… but sadly, the only ghost present was her, and she had no intention on scaring any of the other children. Her primary focus is on Kubo, and despite the curiosity of her tone, she had made sure to keep quiet to not disturb the others.

“Are you kidding me, deary? Most mortals look at Yveltal and are stunted with fear. You not only had the gall to yell at him, but to order him to leave. And he actually did~! What an interesting little boy you are.”

The Mismagius hovers closer, a loose, cloth-like arm extended outwards in a standard show of greetings. A handshake. even if she might not have a hand.

“You can call me Morgana, sweetie~. I’m just here because you piqued my interest, is all~.”

     HE RAISES HIS BROWS AS SHE REITERATES RECENT EVENTS. Frankly, looking back on it, he couldn’t believe he had the gall to order such a being to leave, either. He accomplished wonderful and scary things when his emotions ran rampant, and so he chalked it up to that.

       Frankly, he isn’t too surprised.

          “ INTERESTING’S AN UNDERSTATEMENT, I think. ” More like a complete oddball. Kind of an anomaly. Just, weird in general. Weird things happened to him, to the point where he had begun to expect that they would. Sometimes he wished things to be normal again.

           Kubo was reluctant to accept the hand shake. Something about giving a ghost’s hand ... cloth a shake felt mildly disturbing and untrustworthy to him, like he might have a hex cast on him. He waves instead. “ ... THAT’S IT? You didn’t come for any other reason? ”

   “ NO. NO. Oh my Arceus, you’re going to knock something over and hurt yourself more. ”    She watches how the fridge wobbles and points her GARDEVOIR towards it to help her keep it stable. The pokemon had been assisting her these past few days. “ Your backlegs are still paralyzed. Quit moving around so much. ”      Sariatu holds the door open with one hand and rests the other on her hip. “ What is it you’re looking for? I’ll make you something real quick. ”
