A smirk to mirror the man’s own, stole over his lips, but Kayn quickly concealed the hint of mirth with another drink of his pint.

He, in fact, was only a couple miles away from home, but the other wouldn’t know that. He made a little yelp of a noise, seemingly indignant at being called a pup. He wasn’t a pup. He was a grown ass man.

NARROWING HIS EYES, Kayn studied the animals face, head cocked akin to the coyote. There was something very human in those eyes—something he just couldn’t place, and he had the distinct feeling he was in the company of a shifter of some description. Not that Kayn ever pretended to be oh so knowledgeable on the subject, but he knew enough. ❝You seem so human-like... but I am probably talking to a very confused coyote right now, knowing my luck.❞

Not that he himself is the most outgoing, friendly or even sincere of people, but at least he’s honest about it. ❝I’ll never understand people. Really, I won’t. HI GUYS! I wanted to apologise for my absence lately and explain a little. I was hit with horrible insomnia Thursday night, which I think led to the asthma attack on Friday, and then the anxiety attack after. Still struggling a little right now, but I’ll be around. KAYN’S EYEBROWS KNIT, vexation clear on his countenance, but he quickly schooled his features and turned his attention to the rather attentive bartender instead. The man at his side clearly wasn’t interested in his regaling, and Kayn wasn’t about to force him to listen. He himself was known for being rather brusque and discourteous at times, so he couldn’t exactly judge another for their attitude. It pissed him off all the same. ❝Didn’t say you should care, did I? I was just saying. I’ll say it to someone else.❞

What very little patience Kayn possesses, was worn thin dealing with just that man alone, so hitting up the bar after work wasn’t really an option. More like a requirement, lest he return home and drown his sorrows alone. That’s never as much fun. Following the finger smoothing along the woman’s arm with his eyes, Kayn cocks his head and nods, peering down at the available skin. ❝For sure, I can. Could get some decent detail in there too. I work freehand.❞

THE CORNER OF his lips curled upward in something closely resembling amusement, and Kayn found himself shaking his head, awestruck by the audacity of some people. Compete strangers trying their luck to get freebies and whatnot. Hell, even when he was homeless, the lone wolf at least entertained for cash; busking and drawing in equal measure. It kept a roof over his head without him having to resort to deceiving someone. ❝It’s so insane to me… walking into a legit business with legit records of every patron, and expecting to pull something like that off. And with a straight face too!❞
