Mozart - Requiem (Complete) Mozart's Requiem was unfinished at the time of his death. No unfinished musical masterpiece fascinates us as much as his Requiem. Who completed Mozart’s unfinished Requiem? The work fell into the committed hands of his student and disciple, Franz Xaver Süssmayr. A finished version dated 1792 by Süssmayr was delivered to Count Franz von Walsegg, who was commissioned a requiem mass in 1791 following the death of his wife.
