iga congratulating only the runner up like that’s my girl
horrible, horrible thing that just happened, but remember: men being successful doesn't erase them being abusive
at the end of the day, zverev losing in slam finals (the biggest stages of this sport) is NOT punishment in any way. he shouldn’t be playing.
the tennis gods every yr do a roulette on which french wta player is making a cinderella rg run
Wait this is crazy lol
it’s honestly so good to hear from maja’s manager that they’ve already received more than 100 sponsorship offers. more than anything, i’m glad they’re taking their time. this isn’t something that needs to be decided in a week. going home, talking to people properly and choosing the right partnerships feels like exactly the right approach.
after everything she’s been through and all the years spent fighting for opportunities, i’m genuinely thrilled for her. whatever happens from here, this run has changed her life forever.
i am feeling something more than pride. i am beyond happy for maja because not only she reached the final of a grand slam but she now has all the resources to show the world her tennis - the money, the ranking and the visibility. she is such an amazing player with a high tennis iq who plays tennis in such an intelligent way. i am so happy for her. she deserves it
Sorry for bringing up a topic people on here like to avoid but I’m also feeling very bitter that after the ukrainian madroma winners, Marta talking about the bombings in her hometown and Oliynykovas bravery the biggest clay tournament was now won by a Russian that got awarded the honour medal by Putin
maja is now ranked no. 21 in the world and sitting directly between anna kalinskaya and elise mertens, the exact two players she beat on her way to the roland-garros final. she really looked at the rankings and said, “move over, i’m taking the seat between you two.”

A hold to love!!
More people watching Maja is surprising but not surprising.
How many people in Poland watched Iga’s Wimbledon final?
It’s a little sad that people would rather support an unknown player than one people know about. People do love an underdog🤷♀️
the best part about today is that no matter what happens i will not be disappointed. maja exceeded all of the expectations that anyone could ever have for her. i didn't think she would go past round 1 with qinwen. each following round i came into the match like nooo surely not. and yet she kept proving herself time and time again. this story is the most beautiful thing regardless of its ending. i just want her to go out there, do her thing, play her game, and enjoy every second of it, because she deserves it so bad.
Maja’s semifinal was the highest watched event on Eurosport for tennis in Polish history!
Iga supporting Maja ahead of the final!
my point still stands. fuck tour organizers fuck your schedulers fuck the atp tour for doing absolutely nothing to penalize him in any way and still allowing him to earn a fucking livelihood. there are some serious things wrong with this sport and these people need to start fucking doing something about it if they don’t want the sport to completely crash and fucking burn
