Huge Events: The World Cup 2010
The World Cup is over: Spain are champions, South Africa won the respect of nearly everyone with its hosting prowess, and Paul the "psychic" octopus became a global sensation. But that's not the whole story. Here, a look at the tournament through a numerical lens:
HUGE EVENTS: The Top 10 largest concerts in history!
The heyday of the music concert. There was no auto tune, miming was frowned upon and you didn't have to sell your nan to buy a ticket or sit staring at Ticketmaster's website for hours on end only to have your hopes dashed by that dastardly 'page not found' message.
Fear not. We re-visit the largest ever music concerts in history and wonder how much more awesome these would have been with kee.ps
10. Blockbuster RockFest 1997 [385,000] was a music event that celebrated capital punishment. It was held on Texas Motor Speedway with hot artists like No Doubt, Counting Crows and Matchbox Twenty.
Pulled pork, drink and sticky toffee pudding!
Welcome to keeps
After months of hard work and many a late night, we finally sent keeps out into the wild wild web on Friday. So what is ‘keeps’ we hear you say? keeps is a new way to collect pictures and videos from all your events and experiences in a single place.
We all record the same moment in different ways with pictures and videos. Whether it’s a video taken during a baby’s first steps from dad’s camera or a picture from mum’s phone, keeps is the place to send all those precious memories and have them saved forever. Share them with friends and family, have them share their stuff too, all in a beautiful and easy to use place on the web.
You can try keeps for yourself here. We will keep you up to date with the latest news, updates and some hi-jinx on our Twitter and Facebook pages.
There are some exciting additions to come over the next few months and we would love to hear from you about how you will be using keeps. This being early days, we understand that there may be a few niggles as well, so we’ve also set up a way for you to get in touch with us and send us your thoughts.
We’ll have more for you in our next update.
