Shiro vs Keith

This is my favorite moment of the whole series, it’s so powerful and emotive; the music is beautiful and the animation so incredible. Yes, it broke my heart, but scenes like these that can play with your emotions, that make you scream or cry are the ones that stay with you forever. AND THE VOICE ACTING IS FANTASTIC!! Kudos to Steven Yeun and Josh Keaton ♥

THE DND EPISODE WAS SO IMPORTANT FOR SHIRO/ KURON THAN WE THINK AND HERE’S WHY

IT SHOWED KURON WAS FUCKING HUMAN BEING, THAT IT WASN’T AN ACT, AND THAT HE IS STILL SHIRO, HIMSELF, DESPITE IT ALL. HE WANTED TO SPEND HIS TIME OFF WITH THE TEAM, HE WAS ALREADY PLAYING WITH CORAN PIDGE AND HUNK BEFORE ALLURA AND LANCE DECIDED TO JOIN THEM. (Fun side note: Haggar probably watched the whole DnD session through Kuron)

The Castle of Lions

I have so many feelings about S6, and so many amazing things happened, but I will talk about the scene that I think hit me the hardest? It was definitely the castle of lions scene, where they had to leave their home behind. Because when you think about how these guys were thrust into this situation so suddenly, they quickly became each others family, and the castle became their new home.

I just felt like it was conveyed so perfectly. Those scenes where they are packing their belongings, choosing the things that meant so much to them, seeing how they had built spaces for themselves in this relatively short period of time that made it feel like home. 

As someone who has moved so much, I cannot say how accurate that whole sequence really was. That final sequence flashing back to the empty castle, which held so many memories, it reminded me so much of standing in an empty home that was left exactly as it was when we first moved in, but seen so differently now, because it was familiar. With the empty kitchen I saw Hunk and pidge battling food goo. The teleduv fiasco. The empty bridge, I don’t even have to say. I was moved to tears. I just loved it, and it captured the essence of what attracted me to this story? So much of a job well done to the creators of this series.

I’m so sorry for my rambles, I just want to get my emotions out somewhere haha.
