I love when y'all post your thoughts, ideas and interpretations of stuff for Dandadan publicly. I don't know jack of shit about a lot of stuff for sexual assault, power imbalances or potential imagery that says more about the power struggles and themes in Dandadan.
I'm absolutely fascinated by what Tatsu is saying throughout the series about what it means to form relationships and how evil it truly is to steal and forcefully take from others in any way. Particularly sexually. Stealing their free will, their ability to choose, their literal physical body, etc.
Sometimes I miss the depth of things though. But even with missing some things the message still sort of comes across as a scene condemning a behavior or an action but it lacks the depth I could have by knowing more about the symbolism or history behind things. When people share the missing pieces for me it just shines so much more brightly as a well written scene.
There are so many knowledgeable people who share stuff and fill in the gaps and I love and appreciate it. I want to do such a deep dive on Dandadan and really get into the meat of it and all the little details.
