non-inquisitor aus. at this time, i do not have an au available where dhavi is not inquisitor, nor do i have an au available where she is first/keeper. i'm also not especially interested in writing dhavi as a companion, as i have not yet come up with an au for that that is satisfying to me. if your inquisitor also doesn't have a companion au, that's okay! i'm more than happy to just share headcanon q's and the like.
other. i do not engage in petty fandom drama and will generally avoid callouts that seem to be interpersonal in nature, however i feel very strongly about keeping fandom a safe space for everyone. callouts that address genuine abuse or bigotry of any kind will be taken very seriously and shared in an attempt to keep everyone as safe as possible in my space. while i will try to do my best to make sure any accusations i share are accurate, the nature of false accusations does tend to make this difficult at times. please always educate yourself.

under no circumstances should dhavi be trusted to be romantically involved with a vampire bc she’d be WAYYY too into the “literally giving the thing that keeps her alive to nourish someone else” thing + the intimacy of trusting that person not to take too much.
i posted this on my personal the other day but it also belongs here. i could fully see a world where dhavi got elgar'nan's vallaslin instead of ghil's, and she's still first in that world. the other au vallaslin i've thought abt for her, dirthamen's, relies on her not being first, but i could see her being first and getting elgar'nan's.

i am aggressively bad at height guessing games bc i am objectively, remarkably short. so everyone is tall bc everyone is Taller Than Me. i don't start noticing people's heights until they get over the 6'2 mark.
dhavi would detest dorian right away but he won a lot of personal points with her by saying this to her right at the beginning of the red lyrium future, at a point when everyone was looking to her to protect them and nobody was expressing any desire to protect her:
but quite a bit of her initial affection for him is lost when he discusses his homeland and he has to earn it back, and she tends towards blunter dialogue options with him abt that.
dhavi with cole and dorian's personal quests: there's a lot on my plate right now that should not be my responsibility, but this especially is none of my business.
and not bc she's in over her head but bc truthfully she doesn't think these things should be anyone's choice but theirs. dorian should have full say himself over whether he goes to meet with his father's "retainer" and that once there, he should decide whether he hears his father out or not.
cole is ever so slightly different in the sense that he is clearly dealing with extremely heightened emotions that can make someone act more rashly, and she would first like to help him calm down, but ultimately, again, she thinks whatever choice is made (to via's point, as long as the consequences are understood) should be purely his.
