Imagine if you tech-master villain F/O has caught you on their radar and they absolutely adore you... but due to them being a big bad... they aren't sure just introducing themself with a flourish one day while you're on your way to work would br the best way of capturing your heart...
So instead, they obsessively work around the clock to create a citywide digital penpal initiative - taking over electronic billboards and popping up in advertisements - to get the people of your city more familiar with one another and build a tighter knit community.
They're intelligent enough to make this system operate completely on its own, matching phone numbers to other people, but in their obsessive need for you... they have your number locked onto them should you one day join the project.
And one beautiful day, you finally do.
Starting as nothing but strangers, you begin texting your program-assigned penpal and getting to know them... all the while being charmed by their wit and snappy comebacks to your every comment.
Eventually, you suggest you both meet up at a cafe or some other cozy public place and your pen pal agrees!... but on the restriction that its almost the middle of the night when you meet together - after all, they're kinda public enemy #1 and it's not like they can go willy nilly anywhere any time of day without some hero finding out and trying to take them down.
But they explain it's just because of their work schedule.
But you measure the risks and decide its worth it. You're really swooning over them just by text and can't wait to meet them in person.
... but nothing could prepare you for the moment you are finally there, nervously sipping on a caffeinated beverage of your choice and waiting just outside the shop in the murkiest dark of night... when THEY show up.
And even though you immediately clue into what is going on, you can't stop your cheeks from heating up and your heart from hammering in your chest, especially as they fully introduce themself with a bow and a kiss placed to the knuckles of your hand
... maybe, just maybe, this might be worth a try....
