Not only did this nonprofit feed well over 100 families and supply coats, they managed to figure out how to do it safely and end up with NO WASTE! Bring your LIVE Christmas 🌲to Paul Tyson Field on Saturday, January 9th from 10am-3pm and watch your tree go through our mulcher and bagged up for your winter mulch spreading. We will also give away Texas native saplings to the first 50 recyclers to replace the cut down Christmas trees. Please remove any ornaments and tinsel before you bring your tree to us. We had the pleasure to honor #greenbusiness of the Month award to @greenhousemarketplacewaco this morning! This location was previously known as Tim’s Greenhouse and was bought in May! If you haven’t had a chance to visit this place since then, come out and see all the pretty upgrades! FUN FACT: They will be hosting a Saturday Market on November 14th with a ton of GREEN vendors! You can also purchase a flat of pansies for $14.99 (a flat has 18 plants...you cannot beat that deal!) They also host a hands-on class every week for China Spring Special Needs students. We only had 4 #strongwomen show up but boy did they make a big dent! 26 bags of river trash was collected in 2 hours!!! We’ve started out this morning at 8am shocked by but he amount of pollution in our #brazosriver. This lovely group of girls, @baylorchis , are out this morning with their onion bags grabbing as much as they can! @puravidapaddlewaco is letting anyone use their kayaks and SUP for free from 8-10am if you want to come out and help cleanup our river.
