part (l) i actually really like her? her?
"Hey," I greeted Hanni as she came inside. Hugging each other tightly before situating ourselves at the table where my mom was fixing the remaining dishes on the table. My dad coming in and glancing at our conjoined arms as we spoke on the actions we agreed on the day before. "Hi, nice to meet you. I'm Hanni," the older appointed as she stood up to hug my mom. With pleased smiles we sat down, Jungwon sliding behind me to place himself next to me, Heeseung doing the same.
The dinner happened like a normal family would have it. "Hanni, have you thought of seeing baking as a career? I have a classmate with connections to the baking industry," Jungwon suggested as they both shared the same classes.
"No way! Could you ask them about me please? That would be so nice," sipping and wiping herself daintily, she continued, "my aunt is a really amazing baker so getting further into that craft would be really nice, she wishes for me to follow her into that."
"That's amazing but also, I can't help but notice your accent? You're an Australian?" My mom asked, Heeseung humming as if wanting to know more about her. He's familiar as his best friend is Aussie as well. "I am! I moved here three years ago, I'm actually your neighbour. We live 4 houses down."
"Well I must have been gone a while, the business trip really calls for absences. But the rest of you know Hanni quite well right?"
"Actually this is my first seeing Hanni in person but I've always heard Y/n on the phone together so we're acquainted," my older brother expressed smiling at me. I chuckled as I watched Jungwon and Hanni bond over art genres and comparing their ideas. "You guys are dating right?" Heeseung whispered next to me as he served dessert to my parents, my girl(friend) chatting with my dad about her new gift from him. A vintage cd player.
"Yup! We just started recently. We're in courting stage not completely official so..."
"You guys look good together."
Don't say that. Cause I might actually think so, it's too early to say so.
"I assume I don't need to tell everyone else we're a thing right?"
"Dad talked to me and said he's never seen you this happy. So yes, you don't really need to."
"I think I really like her."
The way I've always seen her has always been different and yet just asking her to be mine knowing my feelings were true was something scary. I mean initially i wasn't just gonna use her but I just...i don't know.
