For as much of my life as I can recall, I have kept a planner and/or journal. Writing has literally save my life and I don’t know what I would do without the outlet. For me, journaling: ~ helps me process my thoughts and emotions. ~ helps me to remember to be grateful. ~ helps me see the common thread between problems and concerns and helps me to address them. ~ helps me to plan my day/week/life. When I am working on a major event or project, I always flesh it out on paper a few times. ~ sometimes prevents me from saying something I will later regret. ~ helps me identify my own faulty reasoning and adjust my thoughts so that they are less destructive and more productive. ~ helps me to look back later on to see how my feelings, thinking, and ideas may have changed and learn from that. How has journaling/writing helped you? (This is not my journal.)

On this day four years ago, I met @carnegro. It doesn’t seem like it’s been four years, yet it seems like I’ve known him forever. Here’s what I’ve learned over the four years: 1. It’s never too late to be intentional. 2. Life and love are what you make them. 3. Ladies, if he wants to, he will. 4. Fellas, if you get her, keep her. 5. Love makes things make sense. 6. Vulnerability is hard but worth it. 7. Reciprocity makes all of the difference. 8. What matters to your person must matter to you. 9. You will change and grow. They will change and grow. Embrace change and growth. 10. Relationships are much better when you like each other. Thank you for a wonderful four years of knowing you, knowing myself better, and I pray that God blesses our journey with four more forevers. I love you, Adam. P.S. - @smartwater, what’s up? Day 29 || #NoBareLips30 || Season Six NBL is always a gamble. I never know if people will participate. I never know if I will be able to give 100%. I don't know a lot of things, but I do know that if there is one thing in this world that I'm willing to risk it all for, I am that one thing. I will always take a chance on myself. I am worth it. I am deserving of it. You are too.

Day 28 || #NoBareLips30 || Season Six ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I have been feeling down and a bit out of sorts lately. I can't pinpoint exactly why and I can't say it's one specific thing. I had to remind myself this morning that I am a queen. I am beautiful. I have been blessed beyond measure. Everything I need to succeed and live my best life is already within me. To my #NoBareLips30 queens, let's keep rising. Let's keep winning. Let's keep making money moves. Let's keep shining.

Day 22 || #NoBareLips30 || Season Six In season Two of NBL, we did a tshirt campaign and this was the shirt. Four seasons later, I still wear my shirt and I'm still on a mission to find the perfect dupe for MAC's Ruby Woo. Day 21 || #NoBareLips30 || Season Six I've been quiet this Season. I've been working my fingers to the bone, trying to level up in all areas of my life - my career, my education, my relationships, and my finances. Just know that I'm still here. I still see every tagged photo. I love each and every one of you who supports Black women and women of color and our beauty!

Today is Day 20 of #NoBareLips30 and it's the last day of Nude Week! @carnegro and I are celebrating and I'm excited that we've made it past the halfway mark. Now we have 10 days of Red Week and we'll be showcasing our reds, pinks, and purples. issa lippie party!
