Intro post, took me this long huh?

Hello, my name is Keith Kogane. I am the former paladin of the red and black lions. I am 27, and a bit older than actually documented due to the quantum abyss. I am married to Lance Kogane McClain (he took my last name as a middle name), who is the former pilot of the blue and red lions. I have a wolf, Kosmo, who is my best friend for life (but still hasn’t told me his actual name). I have adopted a Maine Coon cat named Arus with Lance.

This blog is mainly for me to post random thoughts and anecdotes, similar to journal entries, about my life.

Feel free to ask questions, my ask box is always open and welcoming, though if they are uncomfortable/too confusing for me I may not answer.

This blog is based on canon, and will attempt to adhere to it. Events after Voltron: Legendary Defender are based on headcanon. This is a solo roleplay blog, other blogs roleplaying within the same universe will not be responded to. This is to prevent inconsistencies, and I'm not associated with any other roleplay blogs. Use the archive built into Tumblr and go to the oldest section in the month tab. Good luck, I posted 8 times a day for at least a year I think.

I slept outside on the McClain family farm and Kaltenecker took a huge shit right beside my head. Lance says he wasn't keeping track of her. I think this was an elaborate betrayal.

This is a headcanon rp blog based after canon so I’m letting people know, ain’t that deep trust me. If you do want to know, I adhere to canon lore as closely as I possibly can, that’s all it means.

Sorry if this is a repeated question or prying/prodding but have you, Lance, and/or the others consider or take therapy after Voltron? Do you guys have special ways you cope through certain hard times. I can’t say I can understand since I really can’t but I can only assume what something as big as Voltron could do to a couple of teens.

We used to do group therapy, before we all had less time to do it. Now I go to therapy and so does Shiro, but Lance is more hesitant about it. I don’t like therapy, heck I despise the idea of spilling my guts to someone, but I do need it. Lance probably also needs it, but he doesn’t have Shiro to push him into getting it. He’s way more reserved when it comes to how his experiences made him feel.

Ways to cope… I’m not exactly sure what is coping and what is just me trying to distract myself.

I guess I like routine. I like walking Kosmo every morning. I like knowing when Lance will go milk the cows. I like knowing when my Marmora missions will be. When you’re fighting a war things can be chaotic, and I feel I want to be done with that chaos. So I guess that’s my special way of coping.

When it comes to everyone else… I know Hunk uses cooking to relieve stress, Pidge likes playing video games, and Shiro likes to talk to Curtis— Lance… He likes meditation, dancing, being with family, and talking to me I think.

In reference to your last ask/answer, how did the whole you finding out Lance died go down? (Don't answer if too private).

I’ve answered this before here, but I can add on to what was previously stated. Since that post, Lance’s death anxiety has gotten worse. I’m not sure how to help him. I guess when he died he felt and saw nothing, and that’s terrifying to him. He likes everything about life, and not having any sense that comes with it scares him.

Guess what Lance’s family just made on Christmas? Reminded me I got this ask a bit ago and never responded. I do like them.

idk if anyone has asked this yet, but do you miss the Lions?

I believe someone has, but it was a long time ago. Yes, I miss Red and Black. Not as much as Lance misses Red and Blue, but I still miss them. Before I found my mom, Red was like a parent to me. Black was more of a mentor figure, but still almost like a parent as well. I did think was strange to see giant robot lions as family, but thats what they were to me. Lance was similar, but he always has treasured family, much more than I think I ever could.

I think they left because Voltron wasn’t needed anymore, but also because we all had family. We didn’t need their strength or their kindness anymore. One day we might need them again, and it would be nice to see them again, we’ll just have to see.

Is Lance a good kisser?

(And are you?)

I wasn’t for a while. I wouldn’t let myself relax when we kissed. When I finally got to the point where I would, Lance was so happy.

In my opinion, Lance has always been a good kisser. I guess he had practice with Allura and all. I never dated anyone before him, and I haven’t kissed anyone else, so I’m not sure if I’m actually the best judge? But the kissing is very enjoyable.

if you (or lance) care to tell the story, what was your first kiss like?

I guess I’ll tell you all. It was about half a year after Allura died. I wasn’t having the best time on a Blade of Marmora mission, and Lance was right beside me. We weren’t dating yet, I was afraid to make it official since I didn’t want to replace Allura. Well I got hit pretty hard in the side, and because of that I hit my head on the ground. Lance, seeing me in a delirious state, assumed I might die.

He told me later he was too afraid I wouldn’t ever know he loved me, so he impulsively kissed me before quickly getting me to a safe spot with medics. I remember it, but it’s a pretty blurry memory. He didn’t take much time to do it, it was a fairly short peck, but I think that did later manifest into me realizing I was allowed to love Lance. There was nothing holding me back but my own self worth and the idea that Lance was too grief stricken to make reasonable choices. (He wasn’t.)

Okay he probably had a lot of underlying problems causing him to be so sensitive to the Whos. I can relate to being sensitive to noise. Plus he literally escapes to a mountain till Christmas when he decides to steal presents. THEN the Whos don’t even care and then he spends Christmas with them. He’s a little sinister, but his whole Christmas plot is no harm no foul.

Does Arus knead on yall

She does, but not often. Sometimes in bed she’ll knead on me before laying down, it feels nice except for when she does it too hard. She’s a big cat and shes pushing down on me with that much force, not to mention I mostly sleep on my back so she is kneading on my front.

I think one of the only other significant instances that wasn’t when I was in bed was when I was internally breaking down over my mom getting sick. I was stone cold on the outside, but on the inside I wanted to scream and cry. She came up on the couch next to me and decided that was the perfect time to knead on my thigh. It actually helped me calm down.
