Heather lives in a world where a lot of women live each day of their lives. Heather has endured the cruel words of the man who is supposed to love her and cherish her. The actions to hurt her mentally, treated like she was his slave, she wasn't worth a damn in his eyes, or her own eyes. There was a heated argument, Jerry, Heather's husband, just finished degrading Heather, and left for the night. Heather chose to leave, she couldn't take it anymore. Sobbing uncontrollably as she drove,Heather got in an accident! When Heather woke up afraid in a hospital bed, Jerry wasn't anywhere to be found. Things looked up though, she had a nurse she really connected to, his name is Brad, and he makes her feel like a queen, talks to her nicely, sneaks looks at her she found too. He wasn't bad in the looks department, she wondered if he was sincere or just being nice because he had too. When Jerry did make it to the hospital he showed his normal arrogant self, Brad took notice. Brad made sure Heather knew she was a strong woman and she could leave anytime. When Heather got home from the hospital, she ended up leaving Jerry, there's even a couple twists in the book. Kimberly has been in the writing world a long time. This time she didn't surprise me with this book, because of the great writer she is, I knew it'd be great. I love how she delves into Heather's character in this book,the way she portrays Jerry and how he acts to his wife, it was evil and Kimberly wrote it so well, I could imagine being there.
