Public Showers for Download
So I was building a public pool for my sims and I thought “you know what this is missing? Outdoor public showers”. After a really quick google search I couldn’t find any cc that matched the classic showers from my childhood memories of the beach/community pool and so a few hours and a lot of caffeine later I created my own public showers!
In addition to the new mesh I have removed the privacy requirements and made it so that the sims will wear their swimwear while in this shower.
Of course I couldn’t just leave it there. As I looking my new creation and I thought “this be great for dorms, gyms and even prisons” and so I created another version where your sims wear no clothes instead of swimwear. Since I hate cluttering my buy mode catalog (especially with objects that look the same) I have made these 2 versions into a single buy mode catalog entry.
- Both versions can be found under a single catalog entry in Plumbing -> Showers and cost $100 each.
Will these affect how other showers (EA and CC) behave?
No, these are a new mesh with custom tuning that will not affect any other game objects, EA or otherwise.
I don’t know if this counts as an issue, but as with all other EA showers the sims will enter and exit from the left of the shower. I cannot change this without creating a custom animation. While I personally think it is a tad strange, all the animations technically work perfectly and I guess sims are weird anyway. :) To those who were wondering if I could create a new animation, unfortunately I don’t have any animation skills so I’m out, but if an animator wanted to create an animation I would be happy to work with them to try an integrate it with my shower.
